My wife bought this bacon from Family Dollar today in Baxter Springs Kansas. I was about to cook some for lunch. When I opened the package I saw the green mold and slimy brown bacon underneath. It’s disgusting!

I used to work there myself and for the first three months, I loved it! As time went on, I was then understanding why they were understaffed. They couldn't keep people on the job. I began working May 2023 and decided to quit on them due to my assistant manager hounding me that I should continue my shift, putting my life on the line. I was in very clear severe pain and was told that I don't have anyone to cover my shift. My severe pain has only began for the week and I had to work throughout it. I was on the edge of fainting so I threw the no phone rule out the window and called for a ride, taking action to save me from injury and saving my life. I quit on them because not only did they put my life on the line, but the whole towns and visitors lives in danger. If it weren't for me taking notice, they would have been selling customers expired products by the masses. Not by just a week, but being a month past expiration date. I'm not the only one, I'd like to thank the customer, whos name I shall not say for their personal privacy, who checked the other similar products they wanted that I took notice of to spark it. I have a few more tales from working there, but that's all for now. Some of you know me by Julie, by the way.

All family dollars should be boycotted after their hiring practices. My wife was Used like a slave, cursed out like a sailor thrown away Like garbage after Galena location was opened just under a week ago. Wife was promised 20 to 22 hours By Baxter Springs location Worked full-time, was unloaded their freight trucks in half the time and even went to different locations to help straighten out. Their stores was then worked for 10 days one day off completely unpacking and setting up the Galena location Quite literally from the ground up setting up shelves unpacking merchandise and then day of opening was informed her hours are being cut to 14 hours. The very next day was informed that they were laying her off, due to being over hours on labor, But yet keep employees they had been there less Two days completed no set up and we’re not trained we need stores in our community that have our community standards for us to help support our families Not stores that only have corporate greed Dollar General is down the road. Please join me in supporting their business since they do not screw their employees in this manner. And do not hire you just to fire you

Visited at least four times different days over a couple of weeks and the item wasn't there I had to go to a another store.
