I love this place. I needed a floor lamp for my new place. There are NO lights in the living room. I asked about a floor lamp and they had one. The staff here is amazing.

Love stopping in and visiting with Holly and Wendi whenever I can! The store is always clean, bright and cheery with lots of great items. Everything is free - even the new cleaning, hygiene and grocery items that they have. I always find some treasure that “needs” to go home with me! A wonderful asset for Abilene!

Sharing Shelves Free Store is dedicated to the community and its surrounding areas. It is for people of all races, age, sex, religion, etc., regardless of income. Every single person should be reusing, repurposing, giving, and taking (SHARING).
This is a place to donate new and used items in good condition and take (for free) items that you can use or repurpose. We hope that the Free Store will help to meet the needs of our friends and neighbors. We encourage recycling and reuse as a means to counteract excessive waste and consumption.
We're like a thrift store, but in this store, everything is free. With that being said, we do rely on cash or online donations to pay rent and operating expenses.
