Abilene is a cool little Midwestern town with a lot of history, the Eisenhower Museum, many neat old homes, and to top it off it has one of the most charming B&Bs in America. We recently spent two nights, one in the Eisenhower Suite, and one in the Hazlitt Suite; both of which provided a nice balcony overlooking the park. The sound of pickleball, cicadas, and children playing was very pleasing and brought back memories of my Midwetern upbringing. The rooms were clean, the furnishings comfortable, and the AC nice and cool (we were there in August, mid-90s and 95% humidity). But the delight was Adrian, the hostess, cook, and bottlewasher. She very carefully explained what would be provided, what was available, places in town to go for dinner, and how things worked throughout the house. Breakfasts werre wonderful. I am gluten intolerant, which she enquired about when we made reservations, and she delivered real nice quality and tasty breakfasts. Quality all the way around, and better yet, very good value. We would love to come stay for Halloween, as it sounds like their street really knows how to enjoy the holiday and treat the kids. Book it and you will love it as we did.

I keep hoping that the reviews about accepting only traditional couples weren't true. There are enough that I decided it probably was. I am a part of a traditional couple, but certainly marked it off. I drove to Salina to stay. Seems like interstate commerce would preclude this type of discrimination.

What an experience!!! From the moment we arrived, we felt transported to a period gone by. We are full-time travelers, and our four days spent at Abilene's Victorian Inn will remain with us forever. The location was ideal. Right next to a park and walking distance to downtown and the Eisenhower Presidential Museum. Adrian's hospitality combined with guest interactions were priceless. Oh, and the breakfast.....simply amazing. Thank you for a wonderful time.

We have stayed twice this year and everything about the two visits was outstanding by every measure. Adrian and Jay are tremendous hosts and do everything they can to ensure the guests have a wonderful experience. In all our travels over the world we have never met a more nicer and hospitable couple.

Such a beautiful home in a very quaint neighborhood. Adriane (owner) takes immense pride in her wonderful home and in her exquisite cooking. We would surely stay here again if we are ever in the neighborhood. It felt like staying in great grandma’s house from yesteryear, and sleeping in her great big feather bed. Love, love, love!

This is a very well run, clean and appealing inn in a Victorian home. The rooms are spotless. The inn is within walking distance of many of Abilene's attractions. But the breakfasts, oh, the breakfasts. Chef Adrian is an excellent cook!

Best deal in town! I stay at the AVI each time I visit Abilene. I know that it will be quiet, clean, and safe. The breakfasts Adrian makes are delicious and fill me up until dinner. Adrian is very accommodating of my food allergy, which I appreciate. Adrian and Jay are very kind and go above and beyond to make sure my visits are fantastic. I love the homemade cookies in the evening. The sodas are a nice touch also. The historic B&B has a wonderful charm to it. There is plenty to do in Abilene to keep you busy during the day. I have been multiple times and still haven't done everything yet. I would highly recommend the Victorian Inn for anyone looking for stellar meals and a quiet, safe place to sleep at night. I will definitely be back.
