Remember the old motto: "Ace is the place .......", well this is THE place for local pieces and parts. (Don't let the name on the building confuse you, they are now affiliated with True Value but it is still locally owned and operated.) I've been here several times for pieces and parts for various projects, and they have had my parts on hand. They are conveniently located off the 169/92. They have ample parking with easy access.Their staff has been very helpful. On a recent visit, we were in for some items that we ran short of, and, of course they had enough for us to finish. BUT, more importantly, we had an unusual design that we wanted to implement. I wasn't too sure if the right pieces and parts existed to implement our design. Surprisingly their staff got the visual quickly and was helpful in thinking outside of the box for searching for a solution. This rarely happens in the big box stores! It was very refreshing to talk with a staff that actually has worked on projects.We'll be back!

They do have some neat outdoor yard decor and worth checking out. We make a point of stopping whenever we're in Winterset and always find something. Nice selection of plants/flowers in the Mid-May summer season.

This store always has someone avail to help. I LOVE that. I drop off UPS here. I get pet supplies and gardening here. Esp great selection of seeds!

Gotta give it up for the locals! ? This business is always quietly busy, you can ALWAYS find an employee to help you who is both: a) friendly and willing to listen and help, and b) knowledgeable about whatever you need. I like their lumber yard, and they'll cut anything for you, from 2 x 4's to pegboard. Excellent stock of whatever you might need for the home, a greenhouse for seasonal plants, and also acts as the UPS service for sending packages. What's not to like?

Staff is always willing to help. Usually noticing that your searching for something and they ask if you need help. If they don't have it they'll order it for you and I get it within a weeks time. Love this store.
