I'm on my 5th RAGBRAI and nothing was marked off about not camping at this church. I actually didn't even know this land was part of the church and of course "Karen" comes out after I've been sitting here for 4 hours, with our teams stuff unloaded, and tells me I have to move. Doesn't feel very christ-like to me. Would Jesus turn away weary travelers? I will be praying for this church because I think it needs it. ?

I have never attended services at this church; I went, with two friends, to the monthly food pantry. The best food pantry in Winterset, and by far the best organized. We were even given small bags of snack chips for our short wait in line. A volunteer takes a small amount of information from you (name, household size, etc), gives you a number, and in a very short time another volunteer calls your number and accompanies you through several rooms with a shopping cart and bags. You're allowed to select X number of items from shelves in each room AND several freezers and refrigerators. I was told to choose three (yes, three) from the frozen meats available, and I chose breakfast sausage, catfish fillets and chicken thighs. Got eggs (18-pack) from the cooler. The boxed and canned goods and perishables were of a good variety. Last stop was baked goods: breads and pastries, most with a use-by date that matched the day (Thursday) we attended, and fresh produce.Another volunteer accompanied us to our vehicle and loaded it in for us.All in all, very well organized, good selection, and friendly people who let you know you're welcome to attend services, but don't push it on you.

Very nice location, parking and wonderful building. Was a little disappointed with church service. Two praise songs at 10:15 am followed by a prayer with music. Had a short notice of upcoming science camp, then offering. Assistant pastor gave e message, which was very good, a little long but good. Finished with prayer with music and out the door we go. There were hymn books in the pews, but that where they stayed. If you didn't sing along with praise songs of which I did not know, no music. How about special music, choir, etc. No fellowship after, no opportunity to visit and greet people. Apparently there is a fellowship time prior to Sunday school around 8:30. I really don't want to sit around in the lobby, etc for 1 hr and 45 min waiting for church! We're greeted very nicely by members and everyone was so nice.
