This store is the best in the area! They have everything you could possibly need for hockey. They even can profile your hockey skates on their state of the art sharper. I always stop in when in town and make a purchase. Don’t miss out on this great store.

Great selection of just about everything at all price points. They do have a goalie or two on staff to help with properly sizing and fitting goalies.

Very helpful staff. Hit or miss on how busy the store is. Sometimes you have to wait a bit while they are working with another customer. If you are in a hurry or impatient, call first.

Stopped down last weekend when we were in town for a baseball tournament, needed some emergency work done on my sons skates since he grew out of the others just before his tryouts the following Monday. They got his skates baked, blades profiled and sharpened in no time and he was able to try out and make the team he was hoping for! Great friendly staff! Truly amazing place thanks again!

Best customer service!!! I have ordered 2 sets of custom goalie gear with no issues with the staff providing updates from the manufacture. Called today with a skate issue for my son and staff went above and beyond finding the part I needed and shipping it out to my son who is playing junior hockey.

We purchased a pair of figure skates for my daughter (her first pair). They got her fitted for skates and guards and answered all of my many questions. Everyone was lovely and super knowledgeable. Thanks, guys!

Best place in Des Moines to get hockey gear. They have a huge selection and the staff really knows what they are talking about because a lot of them play. Great place to buy gifts for hockey fans as well.

This shop is AWESOME! I personally know the owner and he loves and cares about the sport as well as the people who play it. The shop is well stocked and they have a price match guarantee if you find a better deal elsewhere. Online shopping is quick and so is the delivery! Though hockey is a winter sport, JT's Slapshot Hockey Shop is open year round.

JT’s is the place for all things hockey equipment (and lacrosse) in the DSM area. The new store location is much bigger than the last one and it’s obvious that the change was needed. Always helpful staff and as hockey season rolls around we often find ourselves at JT’s. Plenty of options to choose from and they are usually pretty well stocked. We will miss the previous/smaller store a bit for nostalgia reasons, but the new store is a sign that hockey is growing in the area and that’s a good thing to see.
