This vet used a vaccination on my cat that most likely gave it terminal cancer. Our other cat got really sick with a dose of shots he received from there. Not worth the price savings after all.

Took a friend's neighbor's old barn cat in b/c she had a wound on her head that would not heal (and she was rough all around). My first visit was A+. Jeannette, who got us in next-day (drop-off to work into Dr. Larson's day), was great, and Dr. Larson understood exactly what was needed--address the cat's immediate issues in a streamlined way, and, if situation/time/money allowed in the future, adjust her circumstances (wet food, sustained flea/tick meds, etc.). GREAT communicator. Left a detailed voicemail for me. Covered all bases. Came out to speak with me as I was checking out. He and his team even brushed the old cat, who had mats along her spine. I'm hard to please, and I was very gratified by how the old cat and I were treated.

I can't say enough good things about Dr. Larson and his team. Not only is this a knowledgeable bunch who have answered/returned my calls at all hours, this is the most affordable veterinary practice in our area.

When we first walked in the lady at the front desk was very short and rude. I took my kitten to get neutered and they failed to tell us that they would be ear-tipping my indoor cat. His ear was left bloody. If they had asked, I would have respectfully declined! And to make matters worse, no post-op instructions or information that were given to me.. I wouldn't recommend coming here.

Ever since I took my dog to this vet because my dog had a lot of infections, Dr. Larson would always give us medications and those medications really worked! Really recommend!

My family used to go here for many years. They killed one of our German Short haired pointers from too much anesthesia during a simple procedure. This is was not a fluke as I have heard this happen before. Would not recommend.

Every pet I’ve owned has met Dr Larson. Larson and his staff are amazing. I highly recommend. Yes, they are off the beaten path but don’t let that deter you from their complete dedication to their pets. He saw my golden through his life. He’s referred care he can’t do to amazing people that could for my Shar Pei. I’ve been taking animals here for 15 years. They should have 10 stars not 5.

Wonderful and caring staff. Leon is a third generation Vet - a real testimony to his father and grandfather. And I disagree with Katie Wingerter. Much better value than any Iowa City Vet Clinics.

Dr. Larson is excellent! The best veterinarian I have come across by far! His knowledge on every kind of animal is unfathomable! I have every bit of confidence and never have any worries with Dr. Larson and his staff! My red doberman pinscher loves all of them at the west liberty office!

My family and I have used Dr. Larson since i can remember. It is a friendly atmosphere. The staff is very knowledgeable. I love how Dr. Larson will talk to the animals as if they are his own. We had a near death experience with one of our horses and Dr. Larson was on site within minutes and saved the horses life.
