I was scammed! Bait and switch, buyer BEWARE! Sold me a 12 ft ladder that was actually only a 10ft ladder!! They advertised a 12 ft ladder for sale so I contacted Desarae to purchase it, drove 2 hours round trip and wasted $50 in gas. 1st of all, she didn’t even show up (which shame on me, I read that in someone else’s review and should’ve heeded their warning). I had to call her multiple times and wait for her to drive over once she finally answered her phone. I contacted her as soon as we got home and unloaded the ladder and noticed that it wasn’t as tall as it was supposed to be. She didn’t even apologize and said I should’ve checked it before leaving it with it, all sales are final. It’s not like they had multiple ladders and I picked the wrong one - it was literally the only ladder there! I offered to let her come and pick it up from me so that she could refund the money or I could ship it back to her at her expense but she wouldn’t do it. WOW - definitely not a place I’ll shop again!

Was looking for original and affordable gifts for the holiday season. I always like to give gifts that are thoughtful and something that a person cant see at one of the big box stores or see someone else owning it. I heard about this boutique and couldn't wait to go see. It didn't dissapoint. The owner greeted me with a smile. This quaint boutique is thoughtfully packed with tons of locally created gems, jewelry, art, food, clothing and more. Its one of the places where you could stand in one spot and just move your head around for several minutes and find so many treasures. Also the creative in me was inspired by so many things. If you are looking for one of kind anniversary, birthday, THANK YOU, thinking of you, just because, or TREAT FOR YOURSELF gift.... XO Studio is a great place to go. You will leave feeling like you paid a fair price and you supported a local artist. ALSO if you know an artist that needs help with marketing, selling and a spot to showcase please check out their website. The owner is a light in this world. I dont know her other than this one encounter but I can tell, you know when you know, that she is someone who lives to serve, teach and help others lights shine!!!!

XO might have been a good salon, but it's a total embarrassment to the West Glen area now! not reliable on hours, a total mess and shambles in what she calls a boutique. Unreliable, unprofessional, and misrepresents to those with items in her store. Most of her staff have quit because they have integrity and won't be apart of this scam. West Glen take a close look, you do not want a business of business person like this representing this area! If I could I would have given a zero stars!

The website that took over this business is not a salon but it is a scam website that took over the Salons website after they went out of business. Do not purchase from them. They are not responsive, will not refund you your money.Do not buy from this website.

I booked XO Studio for my hair and makeup services for my Sept. 2021 wedding. Kaitlyn was extremely helpful in walking me through the bridal contract and getting everyone in my bridal party scheduled for their services when I decided to move forward with booking, and Tami made me feel so beautiful for my special day! I had 7 bridesmaids, myself, my mom, my grandma, and my mother in law all come in for services that day, so it was a full house. Tami, Kaitlyn, Ashley, Michelle and Bailey all made us feel so welcomed and got us through hair and makeup with great time. They also provided bagels, fruit and mimosas for us all! I’d highly recommend booking through XO, and I can’t wait to book my next service there even now that I’m no longer a “bride to be.” :) Thank you, ladies!Services: Updo

I gave this salon a try on a whim as I was in a pinch -- I was not disappointed! Michelle took great care of me. I came in to touch up my roots and she suggested we touch up my highlights so it would all blend together nicely. She is confident, knowledgeable and overall a great gal and I will recommend her to my friends! She took the time to answer my questions about products and showed me how to recreate her handy work using a round brush and blow dryer. Thanks Michelle!Services: Hair colouring

It was my first time getting my hair done at a salon and I couldn’t have had a better time. They were so nice and made sure I was happy and helped me find the color I was wanting. Definitely going back! Amazing service and kind people !!!!

XO salon is one of the best salons in Des Moines. They are extremely clean and have a relaxing and bright atmosphere. Victoria does my hair. She is amazing and the only person I trust to cut or color my hair. She does bangs better than anyone I’ve ever seen. My hair is also noticeably healthy since I’ve been going to her. She is also very down to earth but professional at the same time. I am always very comfortable in her chair. She listens to my wants and always creates the exact vision I am going for. I love this salon and they use great products.

Victoria is my go-to stylist. I have lived here in West Des Moines for about a year and I’ve jumped between stylist. Since finding Victoria, I haven’t gone anywhere else. She’s great. Highly recommend Victoria Barceló for all your waxing and hair needs in West Glen!

My partner and I went before the holidays and neither of us left happy. He wanted a fade and it was completely uneven. I wanted a blunt straight cut and it turned out laughable. The employees were rude to us and we overheard them talking about other clients in the salon. We also had to awkwardly watch as (who we believed to be) the female owner grabbed the male employee and pulled him to the side. She then proceeded to aggressively kiss him and smack him on the face. Overall it was a horrible experience with horrible cuts.
