I went there, didn't have to make an appointment and I left with shoes the same day. I had gone to Hanger and had waited 6 weeks and still got no shoes, they had ugly cloddy shoes. These are nice looking, and feel great!! So glad I went to the Fitting place after getting the run around at Hanger!! Thanks Fitting Place!!!!

I had new orthotics made recently. I have been coming here for at least 15 years or longer and great people to work with. I always worked with Jeff in the years past but he has gone into retirement but Ki (not sure how to spell his name)the guy that is doing the fitting now and he too is good. Miss seeing Jeff but wish him much happiness in his retirement.

The staff were friendly and helpful, the business organized and appealing. These people are professionals at what they do, and it shows! This is THE Place to go for fitted shoes.

A Family member of mine was met with most worst service she ever has gotten, also I got to mention she has been waiting months and months now. And their workers are very rude and I was looking and apparently a lot of people would agree, it made me feel sad that I even had to even get them one star because to be honest they really deserve zero and still a lot of people would agree.

Dr. Ward from Perry referred me to to you guys to get diabetic shoes. My feet were hurting me with my old shoes but after I got measured and fitted for new shoes down at the fitting place. After about 2 weeks of waiting period I received a call for appointment to get fitting and pick up my new shoes (boots). From the day I got fitted and picked them up I could tell a big difference from walking and feel more stable 100%. Thanks to Dr. Ward and The Fitting Place I feel alot better than I did before. Thanks again.

I am a Respiratory therapist and when I am working I am on my feet 12 hrs per day. After 42 yrs in the hospital, I developed plantar fasciitis. Sucks in retirement when you can't play golf or walk whenever you want. The fitting store was a great find when I moved to Des Moines area. Excellent work. Trust me people, it's not cheap, but want to walk again?

Super nice people here, I had to shoes fitted and the lady I was with, was super nice towards me. I greatly appreciated the help I had received from this place. I would highly recommend everyone who needs special shoes to go here. My walking gait has improved a lot since I had got these shoes. I thought, I'd never be able to improve with my walking and these people gave me a miracle. Thank you so much and God bless y'all.

I got my first pair of diabetic shoes there 5 or 6 years ago and had good results and service. The next couple of years, I bought them through my podiatrist. She sold her business and they no longer sell shoes. I was sent back to The Fitting Place. OK, I thought, I know them, have dealt with them and it's fine. The lady there told me I did not qualify, she was not going to deal with me because I was trying to pull something on medicare. I wasn't trying to pull anything, I just needed a new pair of shoes. I didn't get any last year because of covid. She was very rude and wanted me to wait until I had a diabetic sore on my foot that wouldn't heal. Obviously I try to avoid those. That was the reason I got my first pair of shoes. I have recently finished two rounds of antibiotics to get rid of a tiny one on my toe before it got out of control. My doctor said to me "If you don't qualify, I don't have a patient that does." I called my medicare insurance co. and they said I qualified if I'd ever had one of those ulcers, plus I have a balance problem and severe neuropathy, on one leg it goes to just below my knee. I located another company, talked to them, they sent paperwork to my doctor and the following morning, they already had it back and called to set up an appointment to choose the pair I want and be fitted. I will never use The Fitting Place again. I don't normally write reviews like this, but this place was very rude and unprofessional. I have to wonder if the owners realize this is how their employees act toward customers.

Had been troubled with discomfort in my feet for over a year. I'm a little stubborn, so I went through two podiatrist, several pair of shoes and socks with no relief. A friend recommended the store, so I thought I would give it a try as my last hope. Jeff was very professional and gave me hope. Purchased inserts and boots that he recommended. Today my feet are a lot better. I give Jeff all the credit. Big thumbs up sir. Thanks. The Fitting Places phone number is on my list as places I trust.

Over the past 17 years, The Fitting Place, Jeff(OWNER) and the entire staff have been extremely professional, kind and when needed compassionate! I have recommended The Fitting Place to dozens of friends over the years and will continue. Thank you for being available when something "Goes Wrong", and the Knowledge to fix it!
