I just drove out to this place from Ankeny because the site said there wasn't any wait. So I get there at 4:20 and ask if there is no wait, and the "assistant manager" said "yeah there isn't anyone waiting but we can't take anymore people because we close at 5 and we're all...umm... gonna be busy until then." I looked around to see a guy standing up to pay from one chair, leaving one stylist with no customer, and the other two are finishing up with their customers. So I walk out to my car and reflect on the situation and walk back in to say "hey I just drove out here from Ankeny because your website said you didn't have a wait. I will tip really well if I can just get a quick haircut. It would really help me out" and the assistant manager mutters some nonsensical doubling down on what she said before, obviously not able to come up with a reason that would make here seem righteous in the eyes of me, the other customers, and her two associates, who are all visibly uncomfortable and confused. So one stylist comes to the register to talk to me and says "I understand your situation completely, but that's my assistant manager, and I guess whatever she says goes". Pretty stunned, I just say "well that is really stupid" and I look at the assistant manager who is now doing her best to just hide her eyes hoping the situation will just go away. I could tell it was just a matter of one crazy lady drunk with power from her...assistant barber shop manager position...ruining other peoples' days out of pure stubborn incompetence. The stylist who came to the register was obviously disgruntled, and I'm sure she would have appreciated the $10 top for a 10 minute haircut I was planning on giving her. One of the other customers came out while I was in my car writing this and just looked at me and rolled his eyes pointing to the shop before waving as he drove off. So this review is the extent of what I'm doing as recourse. I'm not one to start problems, but people like that lady are bad for civilized society.

Signed in on the app. Got to the store when it said to. I waited for 45 min before my name was at the top of the list. Then they removed my name off the list when it was finally my turn. I talked to them about how their system took me off the list and they said I would have to sign up again and wait to be served.

App said they were closed on Sunday, Google said they were open, called the store and it explicitly said they were open. I drive 20 minutes there just to find that they were closed. Very frustrating and must be a poorly run business.
