I wouldn’t trust the West Des Moines Northwest Bank with Monopoly money. The female manager (I’m being polite) aggressively places holds on accounts that far exceed their policies. At one time she even required us to make an illegal request from another bank in order to access our own money. We refused to comply. This woman single handedly drove us away from this bank. Do not place a single penny in the care of North West Bank in West Des Moines.Thank you.

We were hacked via PayPal to the tune of 1999.00 twice in two days. The customer service rep (I am so sorry I can’t remember her name) was fantastic! When the second hack came today, they were all over it! We’ve been very happy with Northwest Bank before this but now, we are beyond happy with their service. There’s not enough room to explain how great their customer service is. I was so scared waking up to the first fraud PayPal payment and when it happened again I knew she was already on it and she was. Thank you so much Northwest! You have amazing customer service representatives.

This is really a good bank. Anytime I want cashier's check they did not charge me anything like other banks do. when I want to withdraw large amount of cash they are really helpful and quick. I use drive through and get done in no time. Thank you for great service.

I called Northwest bank to get some assistance on a returned payment and since I had thought the payment was not to come out until the next day, I was worried about it being returned and being charged extra, this would typically be my fault but we had not had this happen ever and have maintained a good banking relationship with them. Noah the representative that assisted me took care of it and the payment was paid and they did not charge us any fee. This is rare with a lot of other banks, I appreciate all the help from Noah and his customer service was top notch. I would recommend to anyone banking with them. They have always been extremely great to work with .

In 2009 this palce was an absolute cluster to deal with. Our mortgage was messed up so many times we were glad to have another bank take it over. Paperwork was lost, we were notified 4 days before close that they didn't have necesary forms from the VA, so I had call VA and beg for a rush job after the one missing requirement was taken care of. Accout numbers were mixed up every time we visited. I want to warn everybody about this place. Hopefully the main mortgage guy has been replaced with better staff.
