This was hands down the best salon experience I have ever had, everything was clean and organized, the staff was so friendly and talkative, we were all laughing and having a great time! My pedicure came out perfect, the color is amazing and I’m in love! Never going to a different salon again, this is the one, I can’t recommend them enough!

STAY FAR AWAY! I have never left a bad review in my life... I specifically downloaded yelp JUST to warn other people about my experience. This was the WORST manicure I've ever gotten in my entire life. I asked for a BASIC acrylic set... and I got garbage. She put the tips on sideways and when I asked her to straighten them she RIPPED THEM OFF. DO NOT waste your time or your money here. My nails are horribly painted and the acrylic slipped right off. THEY BEND. If I could rate a -10/5 stars I would. BUT THAT FEELS LIKE AN UNDERSTATEMENT. Seriously the worst ever. The womb doing my nails was shaking and filed each nail completely to the side. Terrible experience.

This place is the best! I live in CO but am from IA so anytime I return home I always schedule here. The owner is so nice (all the staff is, really) and John gives the best massages for pedis. Highly, highly recommend!

First of all the LADY took 20 mins to come back and start doing my friends and l's pedicures when there was only one other customer in the salon. Then we see her drinking out of a wine bottle in the back room after leaving us once again while we "soak" our toes in freezing cold water. She then came back and was most definitely drunk and had bloodshot eyes and it took her and this guy 3 hours to do are toes which got gel painted which costs extra only to have it come off in 24 HOURS. Terrible service and made us pay WAY too much money for a terrible job. will NEVER be going back again!

Mercedes Nails used to be a nice nail salon in WDM, but it has gone extremely down hill. I had a terrible nail experience. The place is incredibly dirty ( the woman was mad I asked her to clean the station after the client before me. So gross to sit down and my arms dusty/dirrt from the nail service prior) the woman who was going to do my nails was annoyed I didn’t want a drill used to remove gel polish, was being aggressive with my nails, never even said hi to me LOL, my nails were filed terribly literally uneven and rough on the edges post service, and the polish job is awful. Truly 1/10 experience. Very disappointing and I’m confident there are better nail places in Des Moines.

me and my friends came here to get our nails done, the service was nice but they completely messed up all of our nails i personally asked for plain white nails with a square shape, they came out un even and chunky definitely not a square shape wouldn’t recommend

I’ll start by saying I rarely post negative reviews, but hopefully this prevents against someone having the same experience.Monday evening I stopped in to get a dip fill before leaving for a trip early Tuesday morning. I didn’t have an appointment but there was only one other customer in there at the time and they had no problem getting me in. The woman that did my nails said that she had a better gray polish with gel and I should go with that instead. Right there was my biggest mistake in not following my instincts and getting dip as I have been repeatedly for years.The woman that did my nails was very friendly and attentive, and I even gave a 30% tip for my service as a result. She said her gel nails last for 2 weeks. By Tuesday morning of my trip (less than 12 hours from my service), one of my nails had the gel completely gone. A few hours later, another on the same hand. I just returned from my trip last night and I have zero gel left on any of my nails (4.5 days later!).My nails are completely brittle and dry and I now will be going to spend $60+ to get a completely new dip set done. Unfortunate to say the least. Go with your instincts of what you want.

The salon is like home! The salon provides comfortable and ergonomic seating options, ensuring that customers are at ease during their treatment. I love getting my nails done here I have always had wonderful experiences at Mercedies Nails! Wonderful experience today, clean shop, I got a gel french tip.

Great chairs. The staff members are patient and thorough, ensuring every step of the process is done with care. Place is very clean and the people are very pleasant Went to Mercedies Nails today and am very satisfied with my nails! Came here I had a pedicure, one of the best experiences 10/10!

The staff are very enthusiastic and make customers feel relaxed. I felt super relaxed the whole time. By far the best nails I've ever had, my sister and I both absolutely love our work at Mercedies Nails! The salon is a great place to get a quick and efficient manicure or pedicure.

So glad I ended up at Mercedies Nails! Such an awesome experience! I got gel nail polish over 2 & 1/2 weeks ago and it is still on and they look flawless! Friendly and easy to schedule an appointment. The staff is wonderful. The staff is trained to provide personalized consultations, addressing any concerns or questions you may have.
