Recently we got a second mortgage to pay for an unexpected home improvement project and pay off some other debt. Our loan officer Finny Gray was incredibly helpful as we navigated the process. Even after the loan was completed and the funds were in our account, she went above and beyond to help us. She even personally hand delivered a payoff check to another bank. She even went during her lunch break, I think. Finny was excellent and GICU was too. Thanks for everything.

I have financed my jeep with GICU. Went through a difficult time and they worked with me, pushing a payment back - a traditional bank wouldn't have.

I’ve banked with GICU since 2018 or 2019. In that time I’ve had my card not work because their services were down at least 4 or 5 times. 2 or 3 times this year alone. Most recently Sunday my card stopped working. I had funds available and was running it for a small charge. It declined. I went to the ATM and it wouldn’t let me pull funds then said I was -$590 when I most certainly was not. I called this morning and was told they had technical issues on Sunday. Absolutely ridiculous. This bank has more problems than any bank I’ve banked with previously. They no longer print cards at the branch. They’ve even taken someone else’s loan payment out of my account. I am fed up with this bank and will be taking my business elsewhere.

I've been with this bank for many years. The staff is rude! There's always a problem with my card whenever I use it! I Don't have access to my money right away. I'm always paying bank fees. Whenever outside vendors overcharge my card, GICU always tells me to call the vendor and dispute it with the vendor. Most times, the vendor's phone numbers aren't on my bank statement. However, GICU does a great job of protecting my information. And I will be closing out my account today!

This location is terrible. The tellers are slow, rude, and always an issue with your transaction. I've been going to this location often. There always seems to be some issue with my transactions. Almost no one in this bank speaks English as their first language. They are not interested in providing service and are gleeful to tell you no. GICU it self has all sorts of ridiculous rules. I am never able to speak to a manager. I've never even met the manager. Something needs to change or I will be banking elsewhere.

Greater Iowa Credit Union is a great institution to do business with. Initially when I applied for a loan I was diapproved but after I provided them with verifiable information that spoke well of my credit history on a previous car loan they approved my loan. This sort of personal service is not often found in lending instititions. They gave me a very fair rate and both GICU and I will benefit from our continued financial relationship. Thank you for your help GICU!!

The teller was very nice. I believe he may have been new. He had a calm and caring manner about him. I had lost my card so I was upset. He had the ability to stay calm.

The car I financed through GICU was totaled in a hailstorm. There’s an issue with the settlement and I’ve been stuck in the middle between GICU and my car insurance company. Not only has GICU been extremely unhelpful, they reported negatively against my credit causing my score to drop 51 points.Don’t make the same mistake I did. Look elsewhere for financing.
