Rooms were spacious. The beds and linens were clean. The walls and floors could have been cleaner and some new paint.

Blake at the front desk was super helpful and nice. Room was nice but had a lot cosmetic damage to it. Has a really nice fitness room.

I am a Jewish American man who apon arrival at your establishment was ridiculed with hateful antisemitic slurs regarding my religious attire which I found disrespectful as I had done nothing to insure it, after being rudely escorted to my room and my bags crassly tossed onto the floor of my room. If that wasn't bad enough I requested room service the following day during a long period that I would be out of the room, and upon my return I see that room service had not been to my room, and when I inquired about the reason for this I was told quote ( can't you clean up after yourself?) Then they explained that my room hadn't been cleaned not because of under staffing or high quantity of business which would have been understandable but because they operate the expensive rooms like the one I stayed in on rotation to properly distribute tips. All that not even mentioning that the ac in my room was very dysfunctional and caused my room to be very hot the entirety of my stay and although the staff that eventually cleaned my room was polite and quick I believe her name was Jennifer who should be commended, I still regrettably will not be staying with this establishment anytime in the future and would highly discourage this as your choice.

Pretty much have lived at the Sonesta in West Des Moines for the past 2 years. Love the hotel and staff. You treat the staff well they will treat you better!

Hotel is very nice for an extended stay. I stayed for a work event and enjoyed the quaint little place. I stayed in the studio and it comes with a full size fridge. Microwave and a decent area for sitting. Bed wasn't the most comfortable but all in all pretty decent place I'd stay again.

Booked two weeks advanced and was told check in age was 19 got there and was told to “get lost.” I couldn’t “talk to the manager until Monday”. Had to book a last minute room at a different hotel. Guy at front desk was no help and had a terrible attitude. Won’t ever book here again.

Our flight in was delayed so we got in pretty late and we were pretty tired, lady at the desk was very friendly and got us checked in quickly. The location is a good spot, close to everything, Room was more than we expected, very clean, quiet and stocked with essentials, bed was comfortable.We will be staying here again.

A beautiful area.. Staff is very polite.. You have a spacious kitchen and nice size bathroom. Has everything you need. It has elevators. I'm very happy about that.. It is expensive to stay here.. I think it should have a DirecTV or Dish.. Only has 20 channels..Overall a Great place to stay!

The hallway carpet looks Iike it hasn't been vacuumed for weeks, floor in the elevator was grossly dirty, housekeeping knocked then opened the door to come inside & woke us up @ 9:30 am-we had the do not disturb sign on our door, the sunday front desk woman charged our room to my sisters cc when we were going to split the charges, she didn't listen to my complaints & rudely told me the receipt was for the room "obviously" when I asked what the receipt was for. The American flag should be replaced with a flag that it not torn & ratty looking. I will say the room was quiet & the bed was comfy. Will not stay there again.

Checked in late, front desk was ready, room was ready, cookware was ready and placed in room. For someone traveling on the road with an exhausted 8 year old boy this was the best check in ever. Room was all we expected and nice quiet stay. Luggage cart was ready too.. lol. Thx guys!

My husband and I have not been here in 2 years , It used to be calledCandlewood Suites,The first time we stayed my husband had a kidney transplant which hasBeen 4 years ago. it was great We had to stay there a month , the staff was wonderful and helpful. at first we had to make the trip down there every 6 months for a checkup and we always stayed at theCandlewood Suites , but with the virus they put it off for 2 years and their virtual .we had to come for a doctor's appointment and that's when we found out it was no longerCandlewood Suites , But we still thought it would be just as good , It was a horrible experience we would never stay there again .The staff was friendly but the hotel itself has went down It's not clean the elevator was not clean the hallways carpet and the carpet in the room you needed cleaning , the walls were dirty , The room was horrible It was not stocked with all the necessities like normal silverware etc The furniture in the room was all chipped and worn and old the floor tile was coming up in the dining area , Cold air was shooting through the side of the heater under the window where it needs to be sealed.I normally would sleep on the couch bed and watch TV during the night It was so filthy I was afraid to open the couch bed We were afraid to sleep on the sheets they look dingy and a dead bug fell off the TV cabinet.This was a terrible experience We couldn't wait to get out of there and it was just for overnight. We didn't even want to sleep there Hope they get their game together, I wish I could get a refund but we know that's impossibe ?

Pretty decent room for a motel 6! Clean and quiet rooms. Full kitchens and nice bathroom. Bed was a little stiff but have definitely had worse at more expensive hotels. Very nice staff, my dead bolt didn't work in the first room and Hannah was very helpful in moving me to a new room just for peace of mind!

Personnel here are above and beyond some of the coolest and most helpful people I’ve ever met. Only complaint would be the air conditioner issues we had, but other than that my stay was “Simply Sweet!”
