I live in the apartments above this gym. Frequently around midnight to 1am an Asian kid blares music unreasonably loud in the men's restroom, which can be heard by my myself and tenants around me. He has yet to be reprimanded.

I am looking forward to utilizing this well-equipped 24/7 gym. I have a couples membership so that my girlfriend can begin her fitness journey and improve her mental health alongside myself. I received a great tour today. It wasn’t “car salesman” obnoxious or time consuming, but rather, straight and to the point with all pertinent information relayed respectfully. The fact that my key fob allows me 24/7 access is an enormous perk, due to my 12 hour shifts. CLEAN, GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE, and WELL-EQUIPPED!!

I really liked this gym. It was a great place to lift weights and run. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the place was clean and organized. It does get a bit busy at times, however.My only complaint is management. I had to eventually cancel my membership, and the experience left a lot to be desired. You need to provide 30 days notice, which is fine. However, my cancellation was... cancelled for some reason. I tried to communicate with management, but I was left footing the bill for 2 extra months. No communication from management. (The staff was better.) I'm still waiting to hear back.

Staff is awesome! It is a very clean gym and great atmosphere. You can’t beat that it’s 24 hours. Supps available, trainers, lockers available, showers, posing room, allow chalk, etc!!!! Membership cost is very nice and has multiple options as far as monthly, 3 month, 6 month, etc. Highly recommend Big House Gym!

Clean, friendly staff, good machines, and lots of free weights! Able to load on a lot of weight and not worry about staying too quiet. Nice bathrooms and appreciate the option for lockers outside of the locker rooms!

Went for visit and membership information. Stephanie or Sheri (?), wouldn't even get out of her chair and just started started running down numbers with, "any questions" while taking a drink from her cup. When asked more about numbers, finally got up and directed to tablet on table, again, "any questions." No tour, no review of what facility offers, lockers? Nothing! Must not care for new members much more current members.

Very good Gym I plan to come back..I wish space would allow more squat racks, deadlift and bench presses. Very inexpensive with a very great selection of machines and free weights.

This gym was very clean and very new looking. They had all types of merchandise and supplements for sale in the gym. There was plenty of space and it wasn’t too crowded. The staff was very nice as well. However, the one downfall is that the doors were locked, even during the staff hours. So, without a key card, it would be hard to go inside and get a pass.August 27, 2022

Solid gym, has most of the equipment a guy or lady would need to liftI liked the idea of nutrition and meals being possible to buyOwner was friendly, always like to see the owner because that to me mean he cares about his companyFor the average guy this place is solid, for a powerlifter it’s C+ On platform, squat racks weren’t tilted so one leg was in front of the other while unracking bar. Bit crowded equipment wise.Better than most gyms I’ve been to in West Des Moines so far

BEST GYM IN WEST DES MOINES!!! this place ROCKS! Friendly, knowledgeable, helpful staff. Ton of equipment. Even stuff you wouldn’t typically find at a planet fitness. Which is GREAT!

If you are looking for a place full of machines to do a routine by your own this is the place. It appears as nobody there was really helping people out! I came at 2:30 on a week day and asked for someone to tell me more about the membership, 28 mins later NOBODY knew where the 1 and only person in charge was! Not for me!
