The store itself is pretty organized. Friendly cashier. But.... The bathroom is disgusting! Horrible! Cleaning products stored in it have obviously not been used!

This place has changed so much! Shelves are getting stocked and employees are soooo much nicer! The manager is super nice and extremely helpful! Any issues I’ve had there have been settled quickly with her and her coworkers help! Great team and great store! I HIGHLY recommend this store! They’re doing something right!

The owners or managers of this store are absolutely stupid people. This store has a hidden hostile environment. If you are a person of color, especially if you work there, don’t be surprised if they end up accusing you of false crimes and try to rob your money. There has been really messed up things that’s happened from this store. Not only that but it’s just a typical store in towns like these where they don’t like in general for non whites to be in places like this. Just saying.

This is probably the worst place you could go! The employees here are rude and careless. They go from yelling at a 89 yo lady to talking poorly about her after she leaves. All she wanted was help! They were not quit about any of it either!! Waukon Dollar general needs to do better and get better employees!!

Clean, tho not the most organized place ever. The staff is friendly and helpful. The snack selection is good, but the frozen food strikes me as a little pricey. Great for restocking the basics in your kitchen pantry.Highlight in my humble opinion, is a surprisingly diverse isle of art supplies.Remember to keep your recipt for their 5$ off sales over 20$ on Saturdays.

When I walked in thru the automatic doors at Dollar General yesterday....I chuckled to myself as the Manager...who seems to be there everyday...was kidding his cashier!! BOTH of them were laughing so hard! I immediately thought to myself how it must be so great to work there! I had gone in for some puzzle glue and I asked another cashier if they ha any? "No, we don't but...let me show you what we do have!" She walked me back to the back of the store. Here in the craft area she pulls up some clear decoupage. She read the instructions to me and between the two of us..we decided, yes this would work! Then She asked me.."Can I help you with anything else??" Kind..very kind! Betty Christianson, Waukon, Iowa
