Probably one of the easiest experiences I've had with a storage rental. Megan in the office is incredibly helpful and nice. The unit is clean and easily accessible.

I was using this facility for about 6 months. In that time my rent on a unit jumped up and down significantly. On my last day I looked at the payment history and saw they over charged me a few months and it went back down after. I emailed the company telling them I cleaned out the unit and asking them about the money. They thanked me, deleted my account, and never said anything about what they owe me. So now my payment history is deleted.I sent a few follow up emails, and they won't reply. Don't go here. In my experience they take as much as they can and hope they don't get caught.
Edit: After I did this review they commented on it saying they were sorry and wanted to make it right. I reached out to the email provided aaaand nothing after a week. One could think they only commented that they wanted to help so they would look like they tried

No proration. Stored here for over 18 months and received three price increases. Pricing started at $184 and raised to $238. If you move out on the 6th thank you for that 200 extra bucks you paid. 2 stars as it was nice and clean and had good access and was convenient when we needed it. Shame on you for price gouging as you do and not prorating move-out!

This where you need to get Storage rent and you will be lucky ? as me if you get helped from #Ann I get helped from the perfect and the best help full ever #Ann she is so kind and the greatest customer service I ever had these guys go above and beyond to make sure you get everything you need.Absolutely great service. Wish I had this sort of help every where else I go!

Well it is 4 49 pm I'm sitting in a uhaul at my unit 2104 looking at my items stored that have water damages and mold to where it is toxic to even be in the unit as the smell is sickening. I have insurance through Storage Mart but to no avail. A manager, Mary from another office decided to take upon a task that she is not educated or familiar with. I have a prosthetic leg and Tourette's. She stated to take the items back out if uhaul and the ruined items on the parking into the unit and write each item down. Hello what don't you understand about wet and mold that is obvious. Ohysically I cannot do this nor am I going to touch anything due to the hazard of mold and water. I guess I will stay here in the Uhaul all night until they figure out who is going to remove and put back in my unit. Also she stated you will be charged another month also if my damaged property was back in the unit. I have a third party who witnessed her ignorance as an alleged authority that represents this fraudulent business and practices. I have called the police dispatch and Dept of health in Dallas County and Waukee City Hall to report this. Let's see who arrives first because I'm sitting in the air conditioned U haul in front of my unit due to the beginning of this cluster since 9 45 am.

So the gate was up and it wasnt going down so i went ahead and went through. This very rude employee yelled out at me to put my code in and then chased me down and rudely told me "put your code in before going through." I told her it wasnt going down so i just went ahead and went through. Many people do this i have seen it. If you want people to know that, than put a sign up but do not chase me down and be rude. I will be leaving if it happeneds again.

Storage units are new and clean. I feel my stuff is safe when I store it here. The reason I don't give it 5 stars is because their practices are shady, purposeful deceiving and un-ethical. I chose this place primarily because of the price, however, I was not aware of the hidden charges. One month into my contract I got a call stating that I had to pay an extra ~$20 a month for required insurance, something that the person on the phone said the location was supposed to tell me about but didn't. Why not just be upfront and transparent from the start and include that in the contract instead of supposedly making it a verbal notice? Then, several months into renting the unit, out of the blue and without explanation they informed me that the rent will now increase by $12 a month. Now the price of my unit is significantly more than I initially budgeted for and I know they are banking on me not wanting to go through the hassle of packing everything up again and moving it to a different storage company. I really wish I would have gone somewhere else where they were more upfront with all the costs.
