Came in for some hot chocolate and the machine was out. An employee refilled it for me and not only that but she gave me the drink for free even though I insisted on paying. Great place!

The employees here really need to be re-trained in customer service. Today’s my birthday and I stopped in and grabbed a few things including a six pack of beer. I went to pay and didn’t realize my ID expired today and the employees were beyond rude and said no it’s expired today we can’t sell this to you. I asked them if they could just enter my birthday and they refused. I would’ve appreciated any sort of explanation they didn’t even say anything about it being company policy they just flat out refused and were EXTREMELY rude. Ended up going to fast and fresh and didn’t even have to show my ID. Oh yeah and I’m 31 today. Had I been trying to use a fake ID or was underage and trying to buy a huge quantity of alcohol I would understand but they were just so rude and dismissive. So because my ID “won’t scan” means I’m not still me and not still of legal drinking age? Please stop giving this place your money.

If I could I would rate it a 0 star they are really racist and rude employees really negativity attitude! Everytime I come here they always think I’m stealing when I come here often an always pay for my stuff. I just came today one of the employees said a smart remarks when I don’t be saying anything I just go THERE TO GET MY STUFF AND LEAVE! There was a lot of people just standing around and talking while they see me waiting and the worker just looks at me while I’m still waiting. The Manager mark my words thinking what I said was funny and the employees laughedWhen all I said was “ The man didn’t say anything” he was just sitting down, staring at me while he was supposed to be ringing my items this is the WORST gas station in Waukee never had this experience anywhere else. I recommend nobody coming to this gas station! I could really write a whole essay about how bad this gas station is but I won’t waste more of my time

These are great franchises and normally the hot food is much better than Casey's and Hyvee gas stations but lately they have not had anything prepared at lunch.

Come here at 6 in the morning for a fountain drink before work. It’s empty. I sigh and walk over to get a latte instead. Empty. I sigh again and try a different flavor. Empty. Shouldn’t everything be ready by now for the morning commuters? I’m annoyed because I went out of my way to come here and skipped Caseys across the street from me to come here. Waste of time.

Love Kwik Stars. Such a great variety of options at great prices. Love that they have hot food options all night and that they are open 24 hours. Sometimes staff can seem annoyed or distant, but overall, happy customer!
