Got me in without an appointment on a Saturday, and replaced all 4 tires for me at a fair price. I had run into some challenges getting tires replaced earlier in the day with two other companies. I was frustrated and Firestone made it easy. Thanks to Chandler and his team!

I had an appt at 2 and dropped my vehicle off there shortly before and went across the street to get my nails done. An hour and a half later I showed up and they hadn't even started my oil change. They said it would be another 45 minutes. Most places typically can get an oil change done in 15-20 minutes, not over TWO hours WITH a scheduled appt. I left and won't be back.

The first time I came in they quoted me an insane amount for all new shocks, struts, and tires. I then took my vehicle to two other places that said my shocks and struts do NOT need replaced. I then asked if they could do a tire balance and they said yes that it would take up to 45 minutes. after 45 minutes, they then said I needed to replace two tires and almost refused to balance them. They ended up balancing my tires and most of the men were very nice. There was one man though who was very rude, demeaning, and insulting the other places I went to and the dealership I got the car from. He was super unprofessional and made me not want to ever go back there.

I am always taken care of when I visit Firestone Waukee, whether it’s a simple oil change or a new set of tires! Cameron recently helped me choose a new set of tires that fit my budget as well as my needs.

My friend's car's tire light came on the day before she needed to leave for business three hours out of town (so by car). I let her take my car for her trip and told her I would take her car to Firestone the next morning as it's about five minutes from my house. This choice was unwise.
We were able to identify visibly that the front right tire had much lower pressure than the other three. We were able to note some sort of screw/nail in the tire.
When we took it into Firestone, we told them this. They replied that they would check all the tires as this was a free courtesy check. Okay, cool. We assumed this meant they would check the tires with a gauge. Why remove a tire that has perfectly normal pressure and is clearly not deflating like the tire indicated?
They proceeded to remove each tire from the car breaking two lug nuts, one from each front tire. Then, they proceeded to charge $208 in labor for doing this. This is egregious. To replace two lug nuts at this location is allegedly $208 in labor, when all that was necessary was a simple tire patch that (in parts) should cost about $20. The two lug nuts themselves were $8.99 each, by the way.
So here I am with a $275 bill for seemingly no reason. I am not saying they intentionally broke the lug nuts, as I don't think this is true, but it feels like the courtesy check is more of a "foot in the door" method to milk more money out of people. What should have been a $40, in-and-out appointment (which we made in advance, by the way) turned into a two hour outrageous expense.
I am not going to make my friend pay for the lug nut fiasco as I am the one that decided to go to this business, but I am here to warn you not to make the same mistake I did.
I am giving two stars as they seemingly did patch the tire correctly, however, it needs to be acknowledged that this visit was a ripoff for the reasons indicated above. In short, go somewhere else, or be very clear with what needs to be done before letting them access your vehicle.

It felt like a bait-and-switch. I came in for my rear brakes to be changed. I knew exactly what I wanted, and I also had a coupon. Within an hour, an estimate was sent with a laundry list of other items the establishment recommended I get, including front brakes, liquids, and all-new tires. My tires are NOT worn, and I passed on the rest. The store manager told me the amount without reviewing precisely what was done. The total... $450!!! I was stunned. The last time I had the rear brakes and rotors changed, it was half the cost. I'll stay local next time. I noticed a charge for a complete maintenance inspection on my invoice, which I did not request. He said it was voided. But that was NOT clear in the invoice. Never again. I won't recommend Firestone, but I'll voice my complaints on social media.

Long story short I went to LOF to get an oil change and a free inspection on fluids, battery health, brakes, etc. And I was told by the mechanic that everything was terrible and basically that my car was about to break down. They also said I had an oil leak. I was quoted nearly $1500
I went to this Firestone for a second opinion because I trust them more than a commission based mechanic. When I went to pick up my car, they told me that I didn’t have an oil leak It was just my the condensation for my AC and that my car is in good health.
They were super helpful and knowledgeable, and did a great job at explaining everything to me.
The service was only $20.

Van had wobble above 55mph. I took it in to have them check the alignment. They quoted me $2,000 for a new rack and pinion. They said, “we called Toyota, you have to change the whole rack and pinion, you can’t just change out the tie rods”. Seemed suspicious to me. I picked the van up and took it to the dealership as I did not feel comfortable with Firestone completing such an overhaul. I don’t know if it is incompetence or deceitfulness but I walked out of the Toyota dealership paying $99 for a wheel balance. That solved the problem. I’ve had a handful of other issues in the last couple of years dealing with them. Go somewhere else.

We were driving cross country and our tire picked up a staple and started leaking air. Sean and Tyler got us in at 520 in a Saturday , 40 min before they closed, and were able to patch the tire for us. They honestly could have told us we needed a new tire and we would have gone for it since we were in such a pinch. I appreciated how honest and kind they were. Would highly recommend!
