Ernst Funeral services were exceptional. Michael and Dewey walked us through the process from selecting the casket, vault, flowers, and burial. They were very professional and caring. They assisted with the obituary, picture tribute, flowers, and livestreamed the service for those who were unable to attend. They were there for us every time we had questions. Dewey also assisted with the design and ordering of the headstone. I give them 5 stars plus.

I have never met 2 more caring wonderful people in my life. They took such good care of my family. Not 1 mishap! Totally on top of things and the communication was amazing. They truly are family to us.

Nobody wants to think about this kind of service but I can honestly say Michael Ernst made every step of this process easier. Although I live out of state, Michael personally took care of every detail seamlessly each of the three times I have needed these services. I highly recommend Ernst.

They were so knowledgeable and efficient! They are very focused on you, your family and every fine detail that goes into funeral planning! If I could give 10 stars I would. Michael and everyone at Ernst Funeral & Cremation Services went above and beyond to care for me and my family at the untimely passing of my husband. Michael was an invaluable resource during this time. He answered questions and was a liaison between me and another funeral home out of state. We had two services (one here and one in FL). Michael made sure everything was handled without a hitch. Even when there was a snag with the flight. Michael kept me abreast and stayed with everything until it was done. I can’t stress enough how he put my mind at ease and handled everything with such grace. There’s absolutely no question we would use him again if the need should arise. If you’re in need you can trust Ernst to handle your family with the same professionalism and care they should us.

We used Ernst Funeral Home for services and arrangements for both my father and mother, who died two years apart. We could not be more pleased with the service, warmth, and consideration given by Michael and Dewey and their staff. At such a stressful time, it was comforting to know that our best interests were always at heart. They offered recommendations when asked, but ultimately left all decisions to us. There was no pressure or uncomfortable upsell, like some other businesses providing similar services. Any question I had at almost any hour was promptly and courteously responded to by them - not an answering service. I also referred family to them and they had a similar excellent experience. I am grateful we used Ernst Funeral and Cremation Services and I absolutely recommend the Ernst team.

My husband was killed in a car accident in 2021. As you can imagine, everything needed to be done very quickly.Ernst funeral home provided me with the most compassionate services. They were helpful and unobtrusive with their guidance and direction. I’ve never been involved in the planning of a funeral. With the suddenness of the accident, it was very hard to think clearly and make decisions.They were so kind giving me just a few options at a time. If those options weren’t what I wanted, they came up with more knowing I could only handle so much information at one time.I’ll never be able to thank them enough. The service and viewing were perfect. At such an awful moment of my life, I have comforting memories of them giving myself and everyone who loved my husband our last goodbye.Their sympathy and piece of mind they gave me is priceless.

Ernst Funeral Home is amazing in every way possible. Michael absolutely strives for perfection in each and every service that he is a part of.Ernst Funeral home has taken care of both my grandparents and my brother. Michael and Dewey communicated well with our sad and grieving families on each service, and each and every request the family had, was done to perfection.My grandpa was a Pastor for many years, and was loved by so many. My Grandpa origionated from Kansas, and that's where his burial was. Lots of family were not able to attend the service in Iowa, but were present at the cemetery for the burial. Lots of his family hadent seen him in years, and many wanted the casket open to say thier last good byes. In Michaels eyes, my elderly grandma was the "boss" of this service. Michael communicated with my Grandma that it was very rare and un-orthdox that caskets be open at the cemetery, however if that's what she wanted, he would make it happen.Ultimately Grandma made the decision to have the casket opened for his family's sake. It turned into a very beautiful moment for his Kansas family. I believe that this token of love and respect is what sets Ernst Funeral home from the rest. They really care.Thank you Michael and Dewey. You run an amazing company while being passoniate about your preparations of each service, while empathizing with family's in your own special ways. It's almost like you make the Funeral process easier, which allows less stress for friends and family members and allows the grieving process to commence.Highly recommended!

Michael treated my family with dignity and respect while we were grieving the loss of my grandmother and again during the loss of my grandfather. Michael listened to our concerns and went above and beyond to provide us with the services we requested. Thank you again Michael
