We moved to Waukee just a day before our dog started having some issues, they got us in right away. We received great care and will certainly be making this our new vet for all our babies, very grateful!

I moved to Waukee in 2021 & was incredibly fortunate to find not just a wonderful staff on the vet side at this clinic but the groomer there is top notch! My toy Poodle Juno was well cared for both medically & "cosmeticlly".

It’s Saturday and our vet is closed.
This morning we woke up to our 16yr old Westie in respiratory distress and not wanting to move. We looked up local vet clinics open on Saturday and none of them would squeeze us in, then my husband called this place and explained our situation. They put us on hold for several minutes and then said that Dr. Yanda had agreed to see our old girl.
He confirmed what we feared, she was in heart failure and her lungs were filling with fluid. He gently explained that with her age, even with treatment, she wouldn’t last much longer.
He guided us through the euthanasia process with kindness and empathy. We were not rushed and when our sweet old girl went to sleep, we were allowed time to stay with her and say final goodbyes even though they had closed for the day.
When we left the room, the place was empty, except for the staff waiting for us. They had a little candle burning at the front desk with a sign letting people know that someone was saying goodbye to their beloved pet.
This was such an awful, heartbreaking day for our family, but we can’t thank Dr. Yanda enough for his support and compassion as we said goodbye to our beloved family member.

They did amazing with my crazy energetic and stubborn puppy. Everyone was super sweet and patient and the prices were completely reasonable. We will definitely be coming back for any vet needs in the future!

Used to love this place been calling for the past 8 months trying to get our cat in for his belly trim . They say we will call u back but never call back this has happened so many times over the last 8 months. Now our poor kitty has really bad mates in his fur. This is why we were needing the trim..

This was my first visit and truly impressed with the friendliness of staff. Dr. Sandage was amazing. I asked many many questions to her and she patiently answered every single one. She placed my mind at ease and my pet was cared for appropriately. Would definitely recommend this clinic.
