If I could I'd give -5 stars. Outage after outage almost every month. At one point we had an outage for 2 weeks in our area and they didn't give a care about it at all. If an outage lasts a 3 days or longer, they should take money off people's bill, at least that's what I would do, but of course even after 2 weeks and a few days they didn't do it for a single customer anywhere. Sick of monthly outages or every other month it seems. DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE WE ARE SWITCHING!!!

I ultimately thought this company deserved 2 stars since it's not the worst service in town. But then when I went in to cancel my service I saw that they make their customer representatives stand for their entire shifts. So 1 star it is.

Our service is terrible and any time I try to get ahold of customer service to resolve our issue, I am unable to get ahold of anyone. I tried submitting a request for service online and got a “service error.” Their prices are high for internet that works less than half the time.

The worst Internet in the area. You can't stream, you can't hold virtual meetings. For the cost, there shouldn't be any issues. Definitely switching soon.

I called Mediacom and set up a date for new services as I was moving to Iowa into a new home. I moved, got a new IA Driver's License. But after my first bill arrived, I found I was unable to set up auto-pay or pay my account - I didn't have the last 4 digits of my PREVIOUS state's DL #. And apparently it's the only "verifiable" data they'll accept. ...unless I drive 45 min 1 way, and 45 min back home to show them ITS ME. No 'sending' a scan of my new idea, no other way to 'verify' it's me - unbelievably Asinine. Stunningly Dense.

I left a bad review of this company the other day, & I was too hasty. I have left other reviews that were negative with no help, yet Mediacom was an odd surprise!! I was contacted & the person helped with all requested. Thank you to the one who ACTUALLY cared & helped at this company; giving it another try.Please, before you leave a hasty review for them…leave a review that tells your concerns & see what may happen. I told the truth & the TRUTH is always best, wether you get positive or negative results…you at least have some integrity. God bless Mediacom’s help.

NEW USERS, RUN! Get literally ANY other internet provider. We've had Mediacom for over 5 years now because we can't switch due to the area we live in, and we've had nothing but problems all 5 years. The internet is utterly awful. It's down 60% of the time, and the 40% that it's working it's so slow that you can't watch a streaming service and be on a laptop on google at the same time. Hell, half the time the streaming service won't even load. Customer service reps seem nice sometimes but most of the time they are either jerks or idiots. I got charged twice for my family's Mediacom bill, putting us really badly in negative in my account, and when I called to get the money back they were like "oh we'll just credit your account." If I wanted credit I would have asked for it, I want the money back so that my family can afford to eat this payday. Seriously, just don't. If you can get any other internet do it, there's a reason this place only has a 2.4 star rating.

Absolute bad service. Haven’t had internet in days recently and have to wait more then another week for them to just come out and check it out. Very intermittent connections as well. So many days and times you don’t have it the others you do. Metro net will have me set up all said and done almost a week before mediacom comes here.

Very dissatisfied with mediacom. Paid over $100 for service to be installed. Service tech never ran a line for my second TV. Ran my living room line right in middle of floor. Called mediacom to get it rectified. They have the audacity to say they will have to charge me an additional $49.99 to have someone come back out an fix a problem that should of been done right the first time. Definitely will be leaving mediacom now that waterloo has more options for high speed internet

Rep lied to me telling me he could not check my account for a credit. Will never go back to there service as long as better options are available.

I've had continuous problems with Mediacom for over a month now, the original rep I spoke with recommended I upgrade my service which I did. Not even a week later, same issues. I have had technicians out here 4 times now, every time they leave and assure me that I should be good to go. I've gotten a new modem, didn't resolve my issues. I don't even know what I'm paying for at this point if I didn't work from home Id cancel your company's garbage service. IF at all possible go somewhere else for your internet needs.

Two stars simply because the people I’ve talked to whenever I’ve had a problem are always very nice on the phone. However, our internet is down for the 3rd time this month. Wifi runs decently when it works. For what we pay each month I’d expect it to not be down so often. As well as we’ve had issues in the past with billing. You guys have good customer service when I’ve called, but the wifi itself is lacking in terms of reliability.

Tech knocked on my door yesterday claiming there was interference coming from my residence. He did something in my basement and now my net drops every 2 min. Called customer service and they refused to send anyone out and they said the earliest they could get someone out is 9 days from now. Nice to know you don't actually care about you customers.
