I just bought a newer used car 2017 Mitsubishi Mirage.
My son took me there and checked everything out as he is a mechanic
The owner and the workers are very professional and courteous! My son told me the owner is very honest good person because he new him for 15 years with some of his other businesses.
They were very helpful with me buying the car and others that they were helping also. I highly recommend this auto place to anyone wanting to buy a car! I am very happy with my new car!

Great place. I bought my Chevy Cruze 5 years ago and she still runs and drives great to this day. Of course I’ve had to make repairs as that comes with the cost of purchasing a vehicle. My brother bought a ford edge from them 1 month ago and the only issue is we replaced the battery. Great guys! You can come with your own financing or cash. Will look to purchase here again.

TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE. BUYER BEWARE!!! They only do cash.
I drove 4.5 hours out of state to look at a vehicle at Jefferson St. Motors. They told me over the phone clean title, one owner, great shape. Upon arrival, the car was dirty AF. Cigarette butts throughout, cigarette burn holes in the seats, previous owner's possessions in the pockets, dog hair, mystery stuff on the mirrors and interior, etc. They did zero detailing and it smelled of smoke. Further issues were an exhaust leak at the muffler seam, missing the cargo cover and floor mats, tire monitor system wasn't working, tire tread was not road safe, bracket looked to be cut off, and undercarriage was caked in dirt.
The car itself seemed sound enough, but it definitely need to see a mechanic and get new tires before it could leave the lot.
When I brought up these issue and the added cost of all the things needed, they laughed it off and said that the tires were half tread, that detailing is cheap, that I can get the missing items on line for cheap. They also told me the owner is the mechanic and that he "knows" these vehicles. He clearly didn't do his job or there wouldn't be an exhaust leak! Then they told me price was firm, but he could come down $200. He wouldn't call the owner to even discuss my offer, saying they were already fair priced. They were $1200 over KBB, and the repairs needed would have cost close to $1500.
Then, I mentioned that it has been on their lot for over 358 days (per CarGurus) and they could have cared less. No reputable dealer wants to sit on a car for more than 90 days. I wouldn't be surprised if they were money launderers.
If you are looking to buy a vehicle, do yourself a favor and drive two more blocks to C&S Car Co., a legit car dealer.

Despite all the bad reviews, my husband and I purchased a vehicle from Jefferson Street Motors. We purchased an extended warranty, which provided a little piece of mind. However, we had the vehicle less than one week and had to “add coolant”. We ended up taking the vehicle to the bmw dealership. Turns out the emissions system needs to be replaced (egr cooling system as well as the bypass valve/auxiliary cooling system). The warranty we purchased does not cover emission. BMW has quoted over $5,000 to repair. This vehicle has been a nightmare. Of course I am aware that we purchased the vehicle “as is”. However, had we known we would have to spend over $5,000 in repairs without having the vehicle for a month we would have purchased elsewhere. The only upside is that we have a “unique” car. Not many can say they own a diesel bmw. Although, this vehicle is a money pit. I would look elsewhere if looking for a vehicle unless you’re looking to spend thousands in repairs!

I got a good car. Only visible problems with it was that there was no antenna cover and the front bumper was sticking out a little. When I bought they told me they'd fix it, and they did. They gave a good deal, they kept their word. I would recommend them.

Can't be bothered to respond to questions, even after follow-ups. After reading some of the other reviews here, I can see that is a common theme, as well as misrepresenting their cars and poor after-sale practices. Oh well - thanks for not getting back to me - i guess I dodged a bullet.

We bought a bmw. We knew we bought it “as is” but when we called about one issue, he immediately said to bring it back in. His mechanic spent 4 hours fixing the problem at NO cost to us. They went above and beyond. Super happy with our purchase. Thank you!
