Terrible business. Drove to a dealership just to find out that the vehicle had SEVEN previous owners, cylinder issues (they stated a misfire), totaled out twice, AND a salvage title (was not mentioned at the time of purchase). Sold to a young 16 year old. That behavior is money hungry and disgusting. If I could put zero stars, I would. Don’t do business with David if you want to be able to upgrade later.

We had a most excellent experience at C&S with Scott Thurn leading the way. Drove from Des Moines to Waterloo. C&S had the best price for the Subaru make and model we desired. Scott held it for 5 days with only a phone call to put down a $1,000 deposit and our word that we would be there to purchase it. He had the car ready to go, provided us with very useful information, and valued our time on a busy Saturday. We're veteran Subaru owners and the C&S & Scott experience has been the best yet.
And we love love love the new Sube!

Recently bought a vehicle here after many warnings not to. They had a great vehicle with low miles in our budget so it just made sense. They agreed to a couple of things we wanted fixed and worked some magic to make sure the payment stayed in our budget with an extended warranty. Thank goodness we were able to get the extended warranty! A week into owning the check engine light came on, the tire pressure light isn’t reading right, temp gauge is wrong, charging ports don’t work, back windshield wiper doesn’t work, just to name a few things that have come up ? When we left after purchase they said they had to locate the packet. Never heard back from Jeff (finance) or Bryan (salesman) about the packet or an additional key. I’ve attempted on multiple instances to call! We’ve had the vehicle 2 months now and still waiting on a fix for the 3 things we agreed to. (2 have been taken care of as of 2 weeks ago). They have been absolutely awful at communication and follow through! Disappointing

Scott Thune was great. He provided a ton of information for the car that was totalled when I hot a deer. This information was instrumental in securing a decent settlement from my insurance. Scott provided that Info while selling me my next cross trek! I got a great deal and a great car!!!

After a disappointing experience at the Subaru dealer in Cedar Rapids, we drove straight to C&S in Waterloo, where we worked with Dustin to find exactly the pre-owned vehicle we were looking for at a price that worked with our budget. He is friendly and knowledgeable and seemed genuinely excited to help us entertain our 18 month old while we were at the dealership. We were very pleased with our experience at C&S and will gladly return there for our future Subaru purchases.

I have now bought two Crosstreks from C&S and when I tell you they go above and beyond, I really mean it. From sales to finance the team at C&S is amazing. Scott and Jeff especially took the extra time to answer all my questions and make sure I had everything I needed. I live in Des Moines but the Subaru dealership here is just not accommodating. So they brought the car to me from Waterloo (twice!) as well as the paperwork. Plus they gave me a loaner until they could find me the Crosstrek I wanted. This is the kind of service I wish every business offered. A hundred stars ⭐️

I had a generally great experience. All of the staff is attentive and personable. I worked with Scott in finding my first car from them. He was a great guy that lessened the stress in buying a vehicle. We were able to quickly find multiple vehicles that worked for me and found the one I wanted quickly. The rest of the process was very casual and he dropped the price over a thousand dollars without any haggling. Overall it was a great experience and I love my new car. I would highly recommend this dealer.

Out of State, cash buyer here. C&S Car Co. and Dustin M. were great! I was very please with the atmosphere, variety of vehicle options, sales team, and overall experience. I would definitely go there again!
I drove 4.5 hours to Waterloo to look at a different car at a different dealership. While on my test-drive from the other place, I drove past C&S. The other place were total scumbags so I returned to C&S Car Co.
Dustin was personable, listened to my wants and budget, and completely understood that I was fresh off a bad experience. We had a blast during the test drives, he showed me the Carfax, gave me time to think, and made me feel like family.
Late Saturday afternoon, C&S Car Co. accepted my cash down with a promise to wire transfer the rest of the money on Monday. I drove off the lot with a vehicle I didn't even know existed. Dustin even followed up on Monday to make sure everything was good and to let me know he located the spare keys and manual. Thanks Dustin for the awesome experience and for convincing me to take a test drive.

Me and my family was traveling through Iowa back home to TN....my Sante fe went into lag mod and something was knocking in my motor, we was soo fortunate to make it to a dealership and let me tell you these guys went above and beyond to help me and my family...the entire area had zero rental cars available, these guys drove us to a hotel when they didn't have to(thank you chaz!)..they picked us back up the next morning and worked so hard and really did amazing work to get us in a vehicle so we can get back home to TN..thank you Dustin and Bridget for that!...they definitely made a very challenging /stressful situation exceptional! We are forever grateful!!

My van recently broke down and I need a new car fast. Dustin was awesome he was able to get me what I needed as soon as possible, got the paperwork done and got me out the door in less than an hour.
