TERRIBLE PLACE TO BUY A CAR. Sold a car for 3x its value and it broke down 2 weeks later!! They did nothing to help as well! Don’t recommend at all.

Mike Cantrell never looked me in the eye. Felt shady from the jump. They will try to get you to test the best cars they have and then hit you with a 10-12k upcharge. The tactics they pull out are all textbook "scum of the earth car dealer"; it's honestly kind of interesting to see how low some people will sink in such a deplorable and disappointing way. It's a terrible thing to do to people who may not know about car values, this is an EMBARRASSING establishment.

Honestly if I had to buy a car again from here I wouldn’t ! They knew my situation from jump I get paid on Wednesday but they want the payment every other Friday they already agreed to the payments being set on Wednesday but yet they call and call and call til u pay ! And the attitude u get when they call is ridiculous! Like I never felt so defeated when it came to it

I have had nothing but wonderful experiences with C&S! They've always been kind and extremely helpful. They've always helped to put me back on the road, whether it be through a repair or a new vehicle. Their terms and conditions are easy to understand, and they always work with you on a down payment. Moved from Oregon to Iowa. Towed a small trailer from an Outback. Just wanted a check up and for them to look a few things on my mind. After a literal 7.5-hour diagnostic, in which they knew I was waiting patiently, they brushed off all of my legitimate concerns, made up some new stuff that would cost me another couple thousand, and then charged me $300 for the diagnostic.I then went to Midas in Cedar Falls where they did the exact same diagnostic for half the price, in 45 minutes, then proceeded to flag the exact things I was trying to get fixed in the first place, and proceeded to fix them, giving me a discount due to my financial difficulties, and being finished in a third the time it took C&S to invent fake problems.C&S is the only certified Subaru that I know of in Waterloo. But their service was the worst I've ever received. I had to break my spell of only going to certified Subaru joints. And I'm not sad about that.

I was searching for a vehicle and in need of help and one of their salesmen was texting me back and forth trying to help or so I thought. it turned into inappropriate messages and pictures being sent to me and when I reported it the following day, I did not even receive an apology nothing happened I received one email that they would look into it and that's all I ever heard . I was not looking for a date I was trying to search for a car

Beware! DO NOT buy a car here! They are scam artist. They will bait & switch and keep your deposit. If you have already been scammed please call the attorney General. Call Mazda headquarters, call Subaru headquarters, call Auto trader! Everyone needs to complain and stop this dealership from ripping other people off. Make an tic toc video of how shady they are! Get the word out!

I bought a 2017 hyundai Sonata from them, I was mislead about the history and only found out after pulling my own report. The damage it had received was minor so I went ahead with the sale. Immediately I started feeling shifting problems I did not feel during the test drive. I went back less than a day after buying it trying to work out a deal, and they basically told me tough luck. I said I don't want it, they kept my $1,500 deposit and are still going to hold the remaining balance of the car over my head even though I gave possession back to them. Didn't even use a 1/4 tank of gas, but I wanted out before they could get me worse. Understand 95% of their cars are bad. Real bad. Go somewhere else. Please, I regret it so badly. They are manipulative, lying, and pushy. They'll tell you all the b.s that sounds good, don't believe them. You'll regret it. Don't learn the way I did.

5/5/23 I stopped in as I had to "have a code cleared". I was told by Sam at the desk that it would be 1 hour and $75. Ok. I waited in the customer area. After 90 minutes, I went back to the service desk to see how much longer it was going to be. I was then told that Sam was at lunch but Chas would deal with me. Huh? So Chas found my paperwork, and rudely stated that since he hadn't dealt with me he wasn't up to speed on this. I tried to explain what was discussed prior but he walked off to the shop to talk to someone else. He came back and told me the bill was over $300 AND they couldn't clear the code. WHAT!??!? The programing was only going to be $75 but they did extensive diagnostic to determine the issue. If you are going to quadruple the bill, don't you think you should talk with the customer?!??! When I questioned this, all I was told was that this is what they did. THEN they offered to charge me another $500 to fix it. Enroute to the cashier, he took off with the paperwork to help someone else and I was left standing there waiting to pay my bill so I could leave. I had to go and find him to get the paperwork. This is crazy!!! I paid $312 for the honor of sitting in the waiting room for 90 minutes while they did NOTHING to fix my problem. I will not go back and I do not recommend anyone else does either!

Sold me a car that had repairs that failed that could have killed me or my family driving down the interstate. Someday they will have to be held accountable and hopefully, before someone's life is lost. "Properly torqued bolts don't come out"

Terrible customer service. Corey Lake sold a car with a fraud BOS and did not complete it entirely. “Car salesmen” who doesn’t know how to sell a car correctly. They are all very uneducated.

I've bought several vehicles from C&S 1 and was for the most part satisfied with their service but C&S 2 is a big rip off scam artists. Bought a vehicle that was worth $5000 or $7000 at the most and got me paying $13,000 and they tried to sweeten the deal by giving me 7.9% interest on the loan but in all actuality I'm paying 100% interest on the loan . And had problems right out of the gate with the vehicle, I'm disabled and get disability payments so I have a set income that I barley make it on and they knew that I am on disability and still took advantage of me. There should be some kind of law against this kind of thing so now I'm locked in for 3 year payments of $330 a month , how bullcrap is that kind of thing. Can't believe they get away with the over priced way of doing this to people who can't afford it. Worst place to go .
