“I was one among the many who got impacted due to the recent Winterstorm.My car battery was dead in the garage and wouldn't start. I called my Insurance around noon, and I was given a shocking ETA of 3 hours.Well - I had no other choice but to wait.Around the 3-hr mark, I received a call from an unknown number. It was Justin, who was assigned my request.He called to make sure that I still need the Jump start, and he gave me an ETA of 15-20 minutes to reach my place.Once, inside my apartment community, he called again to check the location of my SUV.Justin was a fantastic guy, very cheerful and smiling, with a great attitude. He was very patient and helpful.The jump start took just a couple minutes. After the initial jump start and the engine running for 5 minutes or so, we tried a couple more times, to check if the car can start on its own, without the jump start. But, no success. So, he asked me to keep the engine running for 30-45 minutes.Justin was very professional and courteous all the while.Thank you Justin for helping me out !”
“I've been to Valley West Corner Store twice now without an appointment, and both times, I got my 2004 honda Accord with over 200k milage diagnosed and repaired the same day in around 2-4 hours. The first time, I paid a decent penny, but that was mostly because I had to purchase a replacement catalytic converter. Actual labor cost is a bit over 100 per hour, but they definitely have the knowledge, technical skill, and efficiency to make the price more than worth it. That time, I paid around a little over $700. My second go around the replacement part I needed for my break system was a lot cheaper, and I only ended up paying a bit over $350. Both times, I was given a quote over what I actually paid, which to me was a nice plus. Another plus is the simple fact that it shares a building with a convenience store that does help out with the wait. The store has a surprising variety for the size of the actual building, and I found a few hidden gems of snacks while wandering the couple shelves. Overall, im extremely satisfied with the care they put into my car and will be coming back whenever my car gives me trouble”

“Our Dodge Durango's engine thermostat failed while we were on a summer road trip from Pennsylvania. It was already late afternoon and many mechanics were either closed for the day or had no available bays. Cotofo's was the one exception. They not only answered the phone, but told us we could stop in immediately. The shop was easy to find, just a few turns off the interstate. And there was no wait: They got our Durango in right away, diagnosed the problem, and fixed us up with a new thermostat and an oil change, then got us right back on the road. We didn't wait more than an hour. They also had free cold beverages available in the waiting area which was a plus on a hot summer day. The owner even followed up with us multiple times in the following weeks to make sure we were satisfied—which says a lot considering we're from Pennsylvania and not likely to be repeat customers. If you're in the Des Moines area, whether you live there or are just passing through like we were, don't hesitate to give Cotofo's a call. Thanks guys!”

“I was struggling to find a tow due to the storm this past week, called many companies before coming across Hanifen. The people on the phone were very polite, helpful, and got me in. I couldn’t be present for the tow but the driver (Nathan) communicated well throughout the process. Best customer service i’ve had with tow services. If I need a tow will use again.”

“This morning I blew a tire on my way to work. I tried going through my insurance that wanted to charge me $140 for a 2.5 mile drive. I waited for an hour and a half and my insurance STILL hadn't found someone to come pick up my vehicle. I'm not saying that someone wasn't on the way, they hadn't even found someone to take the tow. I kept calling them and they said they were working on it. Eventually I took it upon myself and started calling around. I called a few other places that didn't answer before I called Iowa First Call Towing. It was $91 AND they got there in less than 20 minutes. I was shocked how quick they were. Would recommend and I am now a loyal customer. I understand it won't always be that quick, but I appreciated their service greatly.”

I was very shaken from being T-boned by a driver speeding and running the red light. Chris L. showed up with Crow Tow. Quickly secured both cars.
