My accounts are supposed to be joined their in case I go negative it’ll pull from my savings but they didn’t do that and now I’m stuck with 6 overdraft fees and some being when there was money in the account. I spoke with Jerica to get it fixed and she told me they can only reverse two as a courtesy even though they’re the ones that didn’t set it up correctly. I asked her why I’m getting charged for something they did incorrectly and she said “I can’t answer that at this time” so I asked for it to be escalated and a manager to call me and she replies “they won’t do anything you won’t get your money back” . I’ve been with this bank for over 15 years and their customer service is absolutely disgusting.

Overdraft fee after overdraft fee. Going under zero by even a cent will net you a 32$ fee with very little room to fix, and no option to just halt payments that would send you under. You either pay 32$ for “overdraft protection” which lets the charge come through and sends you deeper in the red, or you have it turned off, and instead of the charge staying, it bounces and you still get slapped with a 32$ charge anyway. A friend of mine called it “poor person tax” and honestly it fits. Go find a credit union instead.

Getting online banking set up is a chore, for sure, but MH has the most convenient hours and most polite staff of any company I regularly do business with. Absolutely would recommend them for day-to-day banking.

I have never ever recommended a bank or banker in my entire life. I have dealt with many of them and will have to say Midwest Heritage a Hy-Vee company is heads above the rest. When they first walked into KMJ I thought this little grocery store can’t be serious. I really was under the impression that they were just a little check cashing novelty bank. Boy was I wrong!!! I started my banking relationship with them shortly before the Pandemic hit. I am quite confident that my prior larger nationally known bank would never have had the time or resources to help but MH Bank was always there. While I am quite positive KMJ is not # 1 they sure make us feel like we are. Thanks MH Bank!!

I have banked with MHB for 10+ years. I got a fraudulent charge on my account of $89. I filled out the paperwork and they removed it. Couple weeks later they charged it back and sent me mail with a copy of front package saying it was shipped to us. We never ordered it or got anything in the mail. It was from China. I left a voicemail with manager Jerry King and a week later no response. I sadly ended up closing my account today.

This the worst bank ever! They are not helpful and when they are wrong do not fix. My son and I were going to Italy and need to get euros. 6 months ahead went in to ask about exchanging american for euros. Ask3dbif there were any fees and they said no . Asked for low denominations and said to just ask when ordering. Well they are incompetent and never know answers to the QUESTIONS at the bank. NOT only were there fees but they ordered the euros in large Bill's. Even after asked to be 20 or lower. They then said after they had already ordered that they could not guarantee low bills. They then tell me to go to another bank to get smaller bill. SO I GET CHARGED AGAIN. If you are thinking of going with midwest heritage bank. DON'T!!!!! THEY DONT CARE ABOUT THE CUSTOMER!!!!

I have banked with them for several years and I love the atmosphere and the employees. I have so much confidence in this bank that I will leave my deposit and know it is in good hands.

Bank employees are using their work email and phone numbers to call and complain to other business about personal issue. Very unprofessional especially when the parent company does a fair amount of business with said business.

I always have great service in Chariton. From making deposits to help with my account after my card got hacked, I have nothing but good things to say!
