We had a master bath remodel scheduled this year. We were told it was likely 1-3 months. I am bummed to provide 2 stars… but the people were all so nice. Unfortunately, based off the contract our job was never finished and truly not as expected. Demo was in March and anything that has transpired for the last 90 days was due to us initiating outreach to see what the schedule was or when something would be done. I finally had to hire my own electrician to finish that job. Our linen closet door doesn’t fit so my husband has replaced the track on the bifold until we find a replacement door solution and fix it ourselves. My husband finished the trim work. They repainted a medicine cabinet and brought it back with no shelves. I have asked for really any shelves to fill the cabinet multiple times to no avail. We never had the final cleaning that everyone has wonderful reviews of. It was just a really long and disappointing experience.

I had an amazing experience working with HomeWorx to finish my basement! From start to finish, the team was professional and efficient. They transformed my space into a beautiful, functional area that my family and I now love. The quality of their work exceeded my expectations, and they completed the project on time and within budget. I highly recommend them for any basement finishing project!Service: Basement remodeling

Homeworx recently finished our basement and we are so happy with how it turned out! The project included a living area with a large custom toy closet, a dry bar, a bedroom, a bathroom and an office. They matched our upstairs finishes perfectly and everything looks beautiful! The overall experience working with them was wonderful. They gave us a realistic timeline from the start for it to be completed and stuck to it. They were very easy and courteous to communicate with throughout the whole process and were receptive to all of our ideas. Definitely will be using them again for future projects!

We had a complete remodel of our porch done, tearing it off and replacing the entire porch. We love our porch; however, we've had issues from the beginning with the roof leaking. Initially HomeWorx had the individuals that did the work come out several times to try and repair it, but it continued to leak. They had a roofer come out and they attempted to fix it, but it didn't work. After approximately 2 years, they had another roofer come out and it's hopefully fixed. However, since we've been in a drought, it's hard to tell, fingers crossed! We've tried to ask HomeWorx exactly what was done to fix it, but to date we've gotten no response. We also have a board on the side of the porch that is bowing, we've asked them to come fix it; which they said they would. That's been approximately 2 months ago and again, to date we've received no response. We've tried calling the office several times, we've emailed several times and no response. We even attempted to go to the address we have for their office and it's an empty storefront. Bottom line, we still love our porch, but the the follow up with HomeWorx is not just poor, it's nonexistent. Right after the work was completed we gave them a 5+ rating, we would have to change that now.Service: General construction

These guys are awesome! Very quick to respond to my online quote request and did great work when they were here. When we had one small adjustment after their initial visit, they responded right away and were back out in a matter of days. We will be keeping them in mind for future projects for sure!!

Abbreviated version due to character limits on Google ReviewsWe typically don’t post a review, but we felt it was necessary to share our experience for others to understand their simple handyman services vs. larger renovations. We had hired them to finish out our Basement. They were responsive and were able to answer any follow up questions we had. Of the quotes we received, they were the highest, but we decided to go with them, feeling like they were best equipped to manage the process, but most importantly, working with licensed Subs who would pull necessary permits. One thing future clients should ask is what Homeworx plans to perform in-house vs what they subcontract out. For us, they mentioned it would be “a mixture of in-house & subcontracted labor” but were not willing to share the names of who they were using. We fully understand that in construction, delays can be expected, however delays as a result of poor management & lack of communication are inexcusable. On multiple occasions, we would go days without receiving an updated Daily Log outlining what happened that day & what was slated for the next day. We would receive confirmation that work would happen on certain days but when that day came, nobody would show up. All we wanted was a simple heads up so we could plan accordingly if things were/weren’t going to happen. Simply put, we got tired of having to do their job for them.Collectively, all of the Subs on our job were pleasant & respectful. However, in terms of general issues + lies on our project:1.The Framing Crew quick knocked out the wall framing, but had missed a Bedroom Closet & a Bulkhead in an incorrect location (was corrected once we brought it up.)2.Drywall slipped about a week for no apparent reason. Per our Foreman, “the delay was due to a matter between the drywall company & Homeworx upper management.”3.During Rough-In, the Electrician had marked locations on the floor for new Recessed Lighting in the Ceilings. This was never passed along to the Drywall Team by Homeworx & they said “they never cut in for Light Fixtures.” However, rather than use work lights, the Drywall Crews decided to cut holes into the ceiling for light in the space & those locations were not in the correct locations, resulting in having to coordinate Crews to come back out to patch those areas.4.Our Foreman came out to measure how much Casing and Trim was needed, but as we discovered, he never ended up ordering the material for about 2.5 weeks, causing delays.5.Although the Trim Contractor hung & cased the Doors, he said his contract did not include the installation of the Door Hardware. As a result, we, the Owner, opted to just take care of it ourselves to prevent any future delays.6.While small, one item noted on our Punch List was a missing HVAC register cover. It took the Foreman two trips to Menards (he never came back with one.) As a result, we opted to buy one ourselves & take care of it to prevent any future delays.7.We had failed our Final Inspection for a few reasons, but most alarming was there were no Plumbing & HVAC Permits pulled “because they didn’t think they needed to.”8.We failed our Final Inspection for Plumb/Electrical items, yet Homeworx nor the Subs ever mentioned that those items would be required by our Municipality.9.We discovered that Homeworx submitted a permit application for the job, but never paid the fee to have the permit issued (even though our estimate had a line item included for this.) It ended up getting paid months after the job was completed.10.Our schedule would push because “I don’t want my crews to start on a Friday, so I'll plan to have them start on Monday.” Monday would arrive, and no crew would arrive to begin work. We were told by our Foreman that Subcontractors didn’t work on Fridays, yet they would confirm this was not true when we asked the Subs.12.We were told multiple times that Homeworx would reach out to the various Subs to let them know they could begin working, yet the Subs would confirm they would go days without hearing

Homeowners be aware of this company. The owner is subcontracting all of his work out to other companies, taking your money and then not paying the people who actually have done the work. This leaving a line of legal issues for everyone while the owner of this company, Andrew, takes the money and disappears. I have tried to contact Andrew multiple times but no response whatsoever.

I was recently referred to Andrew at HomeWorx for a small repair in my home and was blown away by the experience. It is hard to find someone to help with small projects! Andrew was very responsive and set an appointment right away and Eric did a great job on the repair. Very professional, appreciated the quick text confirmations and ease of payment with Apple pay. Will definitely use again in the future and have already recommended to friends and family!Service: General repairs

Horrible experience with this company that we hired to repair our tornado damaged home. We had to double check everything and insist that subcontractors return and complete the work - insulation crew 3 times. The drywall was a nightmare!! They sprayed drywall mud all over and did cover our personal items. Our windows shades were ruined and we spent hours scraping and cleaning the mud off of our personal items and garage floor. The drywall crew also drove through our yard and urinated in our front yard. We reached out to the owner several times during the process but that did not help - no apology, just excuses. He never even picked up the phone to talk to us, just replied by email. A can of paint was spilled in the driveway and they did not clean it up. We did not have a final walk through and they left a big pile of garbage in the garage. Those are just the highlights!! Terrible experience! Would not hire them again for anything!!Service: General construction

I wish there was a zero star option - they don't even deserve one star. Our experience was horrible. We hired them to repair our tornado damaged home and had an awful experience. I wrote a review on their Facebook page but now I can't see their Facebook page - I guess they didn't like it. Well we didn't like having to double check everything / the insulation for the attic and baffles took 3 trips to complete. The drywall crew was a nightmare - they sprayed mud all over our personal items, ruining our window shades. Took us hours to clean and scrape the mud off of our personal items and garage. They drove in our yard and actually urinated in our yard, too. Spilled a can of paint in the driveway and did not clean it up. We never had a final walk through with anyone and they left a big pile of garbage in the garage. We were told at one point that our house would be done in 4 days and it was at least 30 more days before it was. I reached out to the owner several times and never received a personal call back, only email responses that they were working on it - never an apology, only excuses. That's just the highlights!! I would not hire this company for anything! Beware!

"We are extremely pleased with the service provided by HomeWorx throughout each phase of our remodeling project. From the beginning, they impressed us with a wide range of options and their consistent communication of construction schedules. They went above and beyond by keeping us regularly updated on the progress and ensuring that any changes or surprises were addressed. The end result has left us delighted, as we now have two beautiful new bathrooms. This is actually the second time we have chosen HomeWorx and we would gladly work with them again in the future. We highly recommend HomeWorx for any remodeling needs!"

Hired them to renovate our bathroom. What work has been done is good but there is no communication and the workers only show up once or twice a week and rarely for a whole day. I explained to Andrew that the whole house shutoff would have to be fixed before the bathroom was gutted. He had a crew start gutting the bathroom, they only worked half a day and then needed to shut off the water. They left and two days later the plumber showed up to fix the whole house shut off. This was an unusual situations so we didn't think to much about it. We now realized that we made a mistake hiring this company. Job was started on June 1, 2023 and today (July 3, 2023) the bathroom isn't even close to being done.

Eric Ledbetter and Justin Simmer did phenomenal work. Our dishwasher had a slow leak which resulted in water accumulation under floor. They were able to easily investigate the issue and repair the ceiling. We couldn’t even tell work had been done. We highly recommend them.Service: Interior structural repairs
