The best way to describe my experience with FU over the past THREE MONTHS is laughable. I will admit to my lack of punctuality trying to pick up the tights after initially ordered (I was out of state)… however, if I ever have to use a service like theirs again to get compression hose through my insurance I would rather drive to another state or pay outright on Amazon. Here are my grievances…1) Unhelpful personal comments from my sales associate: Maybe it is just me, but I would imagine someone working with pregnant or cancer fighting patients would have a little more empathy… Her disbelief at how “huge” I was at this point in pregnancy (going into my third trimester) and how “extremely short” I am …hence the need for special measured compression hose for my veins… was shocking and unnecessary. It is not nice to call someone huge and extremely short… I am 5ft tall btw and weighed a whopping 140lbs AT THE VERY END OF MY PREGNANCY, thanks for your observations Sherlock Holmes.2) Wrong order: After receiving the call that my tights were in, I drove 55minutes to try them on. Only to arrive and discover that only one of the two pairs I ordered were there… AND IT WAS NOT EVEN THE CORRECT PAIR! I ordered thigh highs….These were knee highs… For a varicose vein patient where my troubled veins were in my thighs and my prescription specified that, I do not know how this mistake happened. She then asked if I would like to try them on anyways… I replied no…. (Why on the planet would I waste more time and try them on? That would actually worsen my little vein condition)3) Horrible communication at the shop: I proceeded that day to give them my mailing address, so I did not have to drive down again the next time my correct order arrived so they could ship them to me “at no cost”… they also said they would ship them directly to me from the distributor to cut down on time since I was now ONE MONTH away from giving birth. They proceeded to call me multiple times after that visit to confirm my mailing address and get payment for shipping since they forgot to send them directly to me… then received them at the shop and apparently forgot they were going to ship them to me at no cost since they messed up my first order.4) Payment: I then received a call letting me know I owed $50 for one of the pairs of leggings because they were not covered completely by my insurance… Thanks for letting me know this before I ordered them. They assured me when I was ordering them (the first time back in MAY) it would be more like a $20 difference if that was going to happen. Super… just send the tights!5) Timing: Ring a ling- on July 18, “I just need to confirm a couple things on your prescription…like the doctors name… so we can submit something correctly.” “Also, your tights were shipped on this past Friday the 14.” I then waited until July 27 (six days after my due date) for the tights to finally arrive at my door… and would you look there… Stamps endicia 7/25/2023.Thank you for literally nothing.

Probably the worst customer service you can imagine. They lied about when the ordered the item and then lied about when they shipped the item to us. The package arrived hilariously late and the package had a date of shipment of just two days prior meaning they didn’t ship when they said they did. We started the process 2.5 months before our due date and got the package 1 week after haha

Do NOT use this company EVER. The owner Deb is a complete nightmare and the rudest person I have ever dealt with. She tries to scam the insurance companies by charging for fittings that they did perform. Unprofessional, overpriced and not worth the drama. I would never do business here.

If you like dealing with people who are rude and want to be forced to watch your account for errors this is your place. Owner is rude and I will be requesting an itemized statement next month when my records show my account is paid in full. Some months it takes weeks for my check to clear and sometimes I can go 2-3 months without even getting a statement.

My mom has lymphedema. In the past 6 months it has gone from manageable with a daytime compression sleeve to unmanageable. With the help of Deb we were able to custom order a night compression sleeve that was worn 24/7 for a few weeks and begin the process of reducing the fluid in her arm. We are now at the point of moving to a daytime garment and nighttime garment. My mom lives 2 1/2 hours from Des Moines. Deb goes out of her way to accommodate seeing our mom. Mom is 80, no longer drives, I live in San Diego part time and my sister is a medical professional. Needless to say it take some series maneuvering to get mom to DSM. We appreciate Deb and her staff!!

Fittings Unlimited has an insufficient understanding of their own accounting system. Watch your statements carefully and keep copies of your records. My husband died in December. I paid his account in full in February. They posted the payment incorrectly and can’t figure out how to correct it in their system. They also can’t seem to note in their records that he is deceased. They continue to show a balance due and have threatened to send him to collections multiple times since then due to their posting error. Be careful.

I walked in today just a week post-op from my bilateral mastectomy with reconstruction needing a better bra. The ladies were very knowledgeable and knew exactly what I needed. I even was able to wear the new bra out of the store. Many cute patterns of bras also! Highly recommend this shop!

The owner was very rude. I have been going there for years and never experienced this before. She did not fully explain insurance to me and then when I asked her about it she said that she shouldn’t have to explain it to me. I had to cancel most of my order due to this. She also said that one of her workers told her that I should have gotten an upgrade but, “what is she going to do? I am the owner “. Very tacky. Made me wonder if the store had been sold and changed hands recently.

Walked in on a Saturday with no appointment. Owner realized she did not work with my insurance but assisted me thoroughly anyway, giving great advice & details with accurate measurements. Highly recommended!
