Do yourself a favor and go see Charles! He's great at listening to what you want and giving you an education on jewelry. There was no pressure and he made it such an easy process.I just have to add to my review that I have gotten so many compliments on my ring. There is such a difference between a personal jeweler and the big box jewelry stores.I can call or email Charles if I have questions or concerns or I can stop in and have him take a look at it. So many positives that he knows ME and I'm not just some random walk in person.

Took my wife's 30 year old wedding ring to Charles to have resized and repaired and he did a wonderful job in half the expected time and I highly recommend this place.

We had been to the malls and a few other places trying to find a replacement men’s wedding band. I wasn’t looking for anything fancy, so wasn’t sure about stopping in after seeing some of the exquisite, custom pieces featured online, but something told us to try anyway, exasperated as we were with high pressure mall lizards. Within seconds we were seated comfortably at Charles’ desk, enjoying a cocktail and discussing how to replace the silicone number I’d bought after my original wedding ring shrunk in the dryer — or maybe I gained weight…who knows? Either way, he agreed and gave me an instantly classic quote: “Yeah, people wear those…but they shouldn’t.” Minutes later I was sized and he found the exact ring (one which we were told at the mall didn’t exist) that I really wanted. He had it on my hand with a handwritten insurance appraisal within a few days. The kicker? It was $100 less expensive than the gaudy garbage of equal weight offered at the malls. Do yourself a favor — if you’re going to spend good $ on jewelry, go to someone you can trust. Charles is “that” guy. ?

A++ experience. I needed my fathers antique ring resized, and not only was the final piece perfect in every way, he was able to get it done quickly so I could present it for a family birthday, making me look the hero. Thank you for your work and kindness.

I had a ring that means a lot to my family and I wanted Charles to resize it. He told me that he couldn't do it because of how the stones were set and the fact that it was going from a 7.5 to a 4.5. I then asked him to make me a custom piece with the same stones that looks exactly the same. He told me to go out to 3-4 other jewelers to see if they could do it before I spend the money for a custom piece. I went to all of the major jewelry companies in dsm and the all said the same thing as Charles. I went back to Charles and he made a 3d image of what it would look like and we agreed to move forward. Shortly thereafter I came to his shop and picked it up. He wrote me an appraisal for insurance and had the ring in a really nice bag with a cleaning kit and a bunch of cool little extra accessories. When I saw the ring I was shocked. It was beyond impressive how it was identical to the piece I told him to base it off of. He's done the history of the piece and my family a great service in that and I'm forever grateful because of the sentimental value that the original held. I knew very little about jewelry and Charles took the time to explain every little detail and answered all of my questions. He could've just taken my money when I first mentioned a custom piece but he told me to go to other jewelers (his competition) and see if they could do it. He cared about me and didn't want me to spend money if I didn't have to. He's a very intelligent, trustworthy, and honest guy. I highly recommend him.

I have nothing but good things to say about Charles and his jewelry! My husband got both my engagement and wedding bands from here and they're absolutely beautiful, plus the service is astronomically above what you would get at a big box store. 10/10 recommend.

My husband and I have been working with Charles for nearly 15 years. The craftmanship of his Signature line and the select estate pieces he offers is exceptional! But what makes the relationship this long lasting is the personal service. Charles takes time to get to know you and remembers with great detail your aesthetic and what speaks to you. We've gotten both our daughter's graduation diamond earrings from him which they love and wear constantly. My husband has gotten a number of my birthday and anniversary gifts over the years which I adore! We found that even if the purchase was small, his attention to detail and service are unparalleled. We wouldn't go anywhere else for jewelry.

Wow! Charles helped my fiancé designed my ring. It was so fun to meet Charles and learn all about jewels, care and our options for a wedding bands after our engagement. My fiancés Mother came with us l, and only speaks Portuguese, and Charles took the time to learn a thoughtful phrase to communicate with her. It shows his personal touch and the way he cares for every person that comes to his shop. Thank you so much!
