Barb and David are an absolute perfect team. The natural quality of photos and craft that Barbara and David have refined absolutely speaks loud and clear. The time, effort and care they put into their work truly shows. Barbara absolutely nailed the most perfect background and captured the storm coming in with the most perfect light and angles. I loved how authentic and simple the background was that truly created the most amazing candid and authentic family photos. This is your studio!! Highly recommended!!!!!

Barbara and David are such a perfect team! The pictures are clearly taken from the heart and soul. The level of creativity and perfection was above and beyond my expectation. Additionally, Barbara has such a calm, playful mannerism that made the photo shoot fun for my family. All the pictures clearly show such artistic creativity and unique visuals. Clearly this is Barbara and David's passion in life. They were both kind and helpful throughout the entire process and their skill and passion were clearly visible in their work. I promise you will be extremely happy with their work.

We had a wonderful opportunity to be photographed by David and Barbara! Not only were our photographs amazing, we were treated like rock stars. For those not aware of this studio, it is housed in Stuart's historic Masonic Building, a treat in itself. Dave hails from New York and worked many years as a professional photographer for several big magazines before transplanting to Los Angeles where he met Barbara, a wonderful photographer herself. Dave created a special process for black and white photos and is known world-wide for his processing technique. Barbara made us feel like old friends, which made for a very comfortable session. No cookie cutter work here! How lucky is Stuart, Iowa, a small farming community outside of Des Moines, to have these two. Our photographs were done in both black and white and color and we were amazed at how good they turned out! They spent time doing test shots to be sure we liked our poses and to be sure of lighting. We have never had such meticulous or professional photographers show such caring! I know I will make the trip back to Stuart again when I need a professional photo for my next book! Great work and well worth the short drive from Des Moines!

We were so blessed to have Silverlight Studio document our week of wedding events and would highly suggest Barbara and Dave for any event as we’ll definitely work with them again. They have different and unique backgrounds and give their clients the best of both their world views. They are the incredible at capturing priceless moments without being too invasive and truly bringing the best out everyone’s personalities. We are super impressed with the quality of their work!
