Long story with the BEST ending......I was traveling along I-80 in my RoadTrek Camper Van, only 98 miles into a 720 mile trip when I heard a couple of loud thuds. Luckily, I was able to make it to the next exit at Stuart Iowa. I pulled in to a gas station to assess the situation - turned out that a big chunk of tread came off of my rear passenger tire. Second tire incident in 2 months. BUMMER. It was middle of the day on a Sunday, nothing was open and AAA only tows or fills tires so I was stranded! Good ole’ google search showed a Kinzie Tires & Service and as luck would have it, I was right next door to it. I pulled in to their lot, called and left them a message explaining my situation and that I would be camped out in their parking lot waiting for them to open at 7am. My travel plans were foiled, but I had a bed, a bathroom and food to eat, so I was grateful for that. I wrote a note and taped it to my windshield and eventually settled in for the evening. I had been there nearly 6 hours when there was a knock on the door. It was Andrew, the owner’s nephew saying he had stopped by to grab something from the shop and saw my note. He said he could change my tire out right then - REALLY?!? That would be amazing! And sure enough, he had an affordable new tire on in less than 15 minutes and I was on my way. ON A SUNDAY. Andrew was kind and ready to help. This kind of customer service is THE BEST. I loved this local shop so much that I am stopping back by on my way home to get 2 more needed tires. We picked up a screw in our tire on I80. We found we were 10 miles from the nearest tire store. It was a slow leak, so we made are way to Kinzie Tire Services in Stuart Iowa. We asked them to replace two tires. The fit us in and we were out of their shop in 15 minutes. The price was reasonable and they were friendly. Great experience in a stressful situation. I highly recomend this place.

Such quick service! We stopped in during our road-trip due to low coolant level light turning on and they fixed it for us in less than 5 minutes. Definitely recommend!!
