the rooms i had were outdated badly and very very dirty. carpet was stained and ripped. Food in the pull out couch, pool was only thing nice. I will not stay there again unless the place is totally steam cleaned and updated.
Safety: Not good for someone with disability More hand rails please
Noteworthy details: the steps down to the mini golf doesnt have railing to hold on to. not safe for me with disabilities. So dirty, I spent most of stay cleaning!!!!!!

We stayed for 1 night and left. The place was filthy. Carpet was dirty and ceiling above bed was wet at one time had mold and hanging piece of sheetrock. The bed had a stain on the sheets and the sheets looked like they hadnrt been washed. I ended up with a case of bedbugs and ended up seeing a dr. For treatment. We couldnt wait to leave and did so earlier then our timeshare was over. Truly disappointing and a waste of money for my mom paying for this timeshare!

The front desk people are rude and not accommodating. We stayed in the main building rental in the “basement”. It was super dirty and a huge stain of some sort under the pull out mattress. We asked to be moved or at least get us a new mattress. They “said” they put in an order to maintenance to get a new mattress and we’re on our 3rd day and still no mattress(Look at the pictures). I asked repeatedly at the front desk when maintenance was going to change out the mattress, their response “ I don’t work in maintenance so I don’t know”. Super unprofessional staff here. The smell of bacon was so overwhelming that we purchased candles that were lit the entire time we were here and had the windows open. The smell still didn’t go away. Spend the money and go elsewhere. We are unfortunately cutting our stay short because it’s disgusting and staff hate their jobs!!!!!!

Me and my mom and my dad never been in Okoboji Iowa before and when we got there it been raining and thunder storm and lightning and flooding so we got to go outside only one day it was so bad and terrible.
Rooms: I like the bathroom because it have grab bars that you can hold onto but what don’t like is how bathrooms is little literally

This is a great place for a summer vacation. It is a bit run-down but if you stay in a timeshare it is quite nice. The location is wonderful but the resort needs some work.

Very outdated hotel,In the 70’s & 80’s a premier Okoboji hotel.We went there for our 40th anniversary. Please don't waste your money or time, I was completely disappointed, I have requested for a refund yet to hear back. The health department needs to be notified, visible mold everywhere in the rooms, bathrooms, holes in the blankets, these rooms look like from the 80's or those scary movies where you get killed. Towels are outdated. You have to grill opposite side of where your room is, you can take your own grills. The beach is already taken by those that are there for years or pay a monthly fee so if your new they will look at you like an alien, we decided just to go to another beach had no choice to sleep there because we were from out of town planned this trip for months pictures are deceiving.

For the $250 plus room charge, it was disappointing. The place hasn't been properly cleaned for a decade. Doors/windows so dirty you can barely see, wood railings about to snap off, decks full of cobwebs and dirt, toilet and tub are filthy, shower curtain had mold, tub had dried soap scum in the bottom. Room smelled musty and like it had been smoked in. Decore looks and smells like it is 40 years old. They state no housekeeping. I didn't realize that this meant nothing gets cleaned, ever. Here is a photo of the nightstand. I had to reach down to plug the lamp in. Motel 6 is cleaner than this place. My wife couldn't wait to leave.

Rooms are very dated, with no mini-fridge, no wifi, small beds with poor bedding. What bothered me the most was the disservice that the facility does for a great location on our state's best lake.
