We have always had good luck with all products purchased at Schoenaman's. We recently had some treated timber delivered and had a great customer experience. At 7:45 on a cool, wet morning, Chris noticed our 2.5 year old son admiring his flatbed truck. Chris invited my toddler to look around the truck and honk the horn, then gave both he and my other son carpenter's pencils! It was such a kind gesture, and a great way to start our day.

I haven't experienced the Sioux falls store but as far as the Harrisburg store goes... TERRIBLE customer service! I have been in many times trying to keep our business in Harrisburg, and just recently wanted to check out new doors and trim for our house. No one even looked up when I walked in and never had anyone say hello or ask if I needed help during my 20 minutes there. This has happened several times. Very disappointed and will be going elsewhere to buy materials for our home remodel!

I rarely give a bad review because I always like to give the benefit of the doubt that someone could be having a bad day. This was based on several not consecutive days with the same person behind the counter. He was very rude to my elderly father. My husband witnessed this and was shocked how this man talked to my dad. I wish I knew names because one of the guys there was not this way. My husband is the manager of a manufacturing plant and said he would never give this place any business. This man was very unprofessional. Both my dad and my husband are happy go lucky guys so to hear this, made me know it had to have been pretty bad.

An amazing example of customer service. We are new to town and needed to buy more ClosetMaid materials in order to customize our closets to fit our needs. My first trip Steve greeted me as I walked in and asked what I needed. When I told him he walked me to the appropriate area and started going over my options. I realized I was wildly unprepared and needed to go home to take photos and measurements. The very next day I came back armed with information and told Steve what we needed. He needed some time to cut the shelves and rods and called me once they were completed. My husband went and picked up the materials and said Steve had everything ready to go, including the star bit we needed to go with the screws. This place will be our first local stop whenever we do home remodeling!
