I love their chicken so much that I picked their fried chicken as my birthday meal. ? Thanks for the professionalism kwik star you guys are top notch in my book!”
“Great gas prices but lines get extremely long and people go in the wrong way due to where pump is located. Need to make them so they can be used from either side going the correct direction”
“I walked in the store. I found pseudo Sue from toppling Goliath. I bought everything they had. I put it in the RV. I went in and ordered a breakfast burrito. It was great. I would suggest that to anyone. This is a unique location to get fuel for your car and your body”
“My drives around the Des Moines area on this past Wed. took me to the Kwik Star located on State 415 on the west side of Polk City. All I ever expect out of convenience store is parking (check), cleanliness (check), and service (double check). I zipped in for my coffee, went to the counter and was greeted by a young man who asked how my day was going - putting some sincerity to the tone of his voice. This was a very pleasant experience, and I highly recommend this Kwik Star. Here's a pick of me enjoying my fine brewed Karuba (love it) coffee with a great song for the road.)”

They have a huge selection of food items: fresh food, drinks, donuts, meat, fruits, vegetables... you name it.Friendly staff, plenty of parking, free air, safe pumps. Great rewards program. It's really rare to find a 24-hr place that I feel safe or comfortable in, but kwik star definitely does the job!”

Personally, I think it’s one of the most unique and nice Kum & Go’s I’ve ever been to. The door chime is similar to the 822 1st Ave store in Coralville,Iowa. There was pizza and I took the last 2 pepperoni slices. The staff is very friendly and nice. I hope this store continues to thrive and excel in customer serivce and area.-Shy_Gun670 (also shared some exterior photos.)”

3605 NW Irvinedale Dr, Ankeny“Casey's at 36th and Irvinedale Dr. is pretty much our go to convenience store. On this occasion, we ordered a medium Taco Pizza online, and were told it would be done in 20 min. (note... On busy weekends during FB season, we've waited 45 min, so plan accordingly.) I got there a few minutes early and the lady said my pizza would be out of the oven in a cpl minutes. While I was waiting, I took note of the coffee station, as I often stop at this very same place for morning coffee. The place was SPOTLESS as usual (pics). Now for the pizza. We're usually deep dish pizza people, but for Taco Pizza, Casey's nails it with a thinner doughy crust. We love it. Hope too that management reads this and takes note that a customer appreciated the cleanliness of the store!”

Attention fishing enthusiasts! Remember that hilarious moment in "Dumb and Dumber" when Lloyd says, "I've got worms," and the lady responds with, "I beg your pardon?" Lloyd's reply, "That's what we're going to call it, our worm farm," is classic comedy gold.
I'm here to tell you, YES this caseys has fishing worms for all of you fishermen out there!”

1802 Sycamore St, Granger“I got gas and paid at the pump, so I can't attest to in store. Here's what I do know. I hate answering 50 questions when I pay at the pump. It's Iowa and it's cold out- Just give me my gas! I wish the pump could hear me, because he would just give me my gas. I'm usually rude to the pump, because I am freezing my a$$ off answering questions. Just give me gas after I pay. Please”

They do have a few RedBox's out front which is super convenient. This is one of the few stations that offers E85 fuel which is nice if your vehicle uses the Flex Fuel! Prices are competitive with other area gas stations.”

“I am giving 5 stars for a couple reasons. I frequent this location, as do many others. I believe a lot of the reason for the complaints recent years stems from several things that they may be unaware of but that I have observed over the years. Partly due to covid and all that brought to businesses and staff, partly due to the staff being overwhelmed and stressed because they didnt have the stock, food, tools, help and equipment to best serve customers, and partly due to the shortages this location felt especially hard and for some things still does. For awhile our store was out of so many things it was frustrating not only for customers but I know it was for staff. They burned out. Give them a break. I have never had a bad experience with staff there. The newer staff seems to be doing well and is friendly and helpful. Staff still there after all this time, they do their job well but you can still see the stress on their faces. Maybe give them a kudos or incentive. They have endured a lot and still stick with you and the store. That says a lot about them. Stock has been a little better more and more often. They are finding a balance again. It is an excellent store, a needed store for this community. I can understand some of the complaints, but as someone whom is there almost on a daily basis for the last 7 years, I see what happened and understand why service suffered for awhile. Please keep this store and keep it stocked. Having what everyone needs takes the stress off of staff and customers. Having everything working on a regular basis also helps everyone involved. My only complaint I am sure affects staff greatly too, the one register is always down or only accepting cash. The card reader is always broken. I know the new ones have had issues here and there even at other locations. But it causes back ups when the store is extra busy. The staff can help us better, cause less complaints and be more efficient for us if they are in working order. Maintenance wise this store needs some love. There is still some stock in the kitchen that needs to come back and be consistent too. But all in all this is one of the best stores and staff around. A side note...I understand the need for upgrades as time rolls on, but changing your logo (while I understand why you probably chose to do it) and all these store upgrades are not super. I prefer the old stores and logo much more. The logo was a recognized staple in our state and communities. It had character. I also wish you carried Regular Unleaded gas at all locations. Two in Ankeny I know for sure do not have it anymore. Thank you for always being a constant and in ways a comfort for people. I know you cannot please everyone. But some of us do understand having worked in customer service for decades. We get why there where shortages for awhile. We want the staff there to know they are appreciated.”
