Poor customer service ! Walked in and stood at the pharmacy drop off counter for 5 minutes while an older gentleman (assuming the pharmacist) saw me and never once acknowledged my presence or told me or that someone else would be there to help me soon. I patiently waited five minutes then left. As I walked out, no one bothered to acknowledge it either. And why would I acknowledge their poor service face to face ? They obviously knew and didn't care.

The Jay Drug fountain staff did a wonderful job taking care of the Anderson-Needham contingent (24 of us) last Saturday in our quest to enjoy malts and sodas. We kind of took over the place.

Jay Drug serves great malts at a great price. We split butterscotch malt that cost us $3.50. We both had a full glass, and we had to eat them with spoons. We met nice people and had friendly conversations. We will go back again soon.

The only bad thing the ice cream in the chocolate ice cream soda was not frozen hard like in the old days (30 +years) but wanted to Give my grandson the taste of something that's going away.

Greatest classic soda fountain in the area! It's worth a trip to Shenandoah just to experience a wonderful handmade flavored soda, phosphate, float, milkshake, or malted milk. Try it; you'll love it! The druggist is also very knowledgeable and helpful.
