We have taken our dogs here multiple times and a couple times for extended stays. Are dogs are always really well taken care of and the videos we get of our dogs while we’re gone is definitely an added plus!

From Hurd's Hound Haven
We are a full service dog kennel and grooming facility! We even have a pond for dogs to swim, offer walks and playtimes. Our kennel is top of the line with heated floors and individual large kennels. We offer Luxury and Deluxe services. Come get your dog pampered by our master groomer.

Hurd's Hound Haven is a Royal Treatment Dog Boarding Resort and Spa in Central Iowa. We also have expanded our services and for the past 4 years have offered Mobile Dog Salon services. Royal Treatment on your Doorstep! The Haven has been a local hangout for the dogs of Ames and surrounding communities since 1999. Our entire family has enjoyed caring for your wonderful canine friends. In February of 2006, after a fire destroyed our original kennel, we built a "perfect" new kennel. We are now proud to offer your "Hounds" luxury accommodations with a home like atmosphere . We are the "Ritz for Roover":)
