Water pressure was very low on 3rd floor. Still able to shower but it was under 40 psi. Still a very nice place

I'm shocked by these reviews. This place comes highly recommended. I'm not impressed. I'm from Austin and came here to have a hidden tow truck wheel lift installed on truck by a local company called Hide A lift. We'll the Hide A Lift is awesome and even gave me their personal vehicle as a loaner to get to Grandstay. The stay was far from Grand.
• The bed a stupid firm. I have a Purple #4 hybrid at home and Grandstay has my back aching. Pillows go flat fast. The rooms are carpet and the windows have no way to to block the light coming through. The TV didn't work but the staff came up and fixed it but said I would need to keep the TV on in order for it to not act up again aka not reconignzing the hdmi or satellite. I had to leave the TV on all night if I wanted to watch TV in the morning.
• Breakfast was horrible. They had eggs that had a center yoke that tasted like powder and their was only 1 sausage patty in the steamer. I sat down for atleast 20min and watched people come down and even when I left, their still was no more sausage patties. I came down around 845am. I seen the girl come out with more eggs after I was leaving. It was a disappointment. Atleast Holiday Inn Express has cheese and egg white omlettes with fresh fruit vs here. The fruit here looks aged with wrinkles.
• When I checked in, I asked if their was a better room available. I stated wanted the best because online showed they had a bathtub in the sleeping area available. The lady interpreted that I was asking for a cheaper rate. Then I repeated myself and she said it the room would be more expensive. I had to tell her I'm not local. I make a great six figure income. I'm not poor. I'm on a business trip/vacation. I want the best room. The moment I walked in the door I felt like I wasn't welcomed here. Likenthey felt like I was lost or something. I had just drove 15 hours straight and before that was laundry, oil change and so on. Over 24 hours of no sleep. I just wanted to shower and sleep. What was going to a be a whole vacation, I'm now going home back to Austin where I guess I belong.
I love small towns but this was a mistake! Even my friends on Facebook refer to my experience as to the movie Get Out. I mean, I haven't even seen another black person in this town, lol. I went to the local grocery store and an older guy said to his son, "I wish they had a smaller container of mac salad." and I said, "I was looking for the samething." Well he took a hard left so fast as if I scared the crap out of him. The son just laughed. Theirs allot of us successful black people in Austin. You have to make six figures to live there. To be told the obvious that a room is more expensive is ridiculous.
I highly recommend Holiday Inn Express. They have wood floors, softer beds, and I would hope better customer service. I'm now going to drive 15 hours back home.

Hard to drive up to. The motel is along hiway but the entrance is beyond the motel when coming from the East. You turn right & then turn right again on a back road up to motel. Didn't see any directed road signs for the entrance either.
Safety: Swimming pool floors were dangerous & too slippery. 3 ppl slipped- their feet went up & head fell back on cement floor in the short time I was there.
Food & drinks: Couldn't find receptionist. Knocked, hollered Hello, made noise. Sat at bar waiting. Finally someone came & not so friendly.
Pop, candy, snack machines would be nice. Maybe a complimentary drink, pop, or water for ppl who have paid to stay there would be nice.

I stayed at GrandStay for two weeks in march this year, the rooms are spacious and nice, the bed was comfortable and the kitchenette was very convenient, staff is very helpful as well, I checked out after my two week stay and I went home to Southern California, after a week I noticed I didn’t have my IPad Pro in my backpack, I left it in the room, I was bummed because what are the chances they have it after a full like 8 days, I contacted the manager via email and she responded very promptly notifying me that she had my IPad and my Apple Pencil in her office, luckily I was in Omaha that week and was able to drive there and pick it up, I am so grateful to the staff there for their honesty and holding my property for me, I will stay with them again no doubt.

I came to Rock Valley to visit Dordt, and chose this hotel to stay at. It was a pretty good experience! Everything was clean, and I enjoyed the atmosphere.
The only issue I had was that we were given a higher rate, but it was sorted out in the end. That made me give it four stars

Stayed here a few nights for business. The hotel is new, reminds me of Hampton Inn hotels. The coffee was good, rooms clean, and overall great experience. No complaints, will definitely be back.

Requested a late check out and it was granted but then when the staff working the day of the requested late check out over turned the decision and told us we needed to be out by the original check out time which then we had to sit in the lobby for a couple hours before we could depart. The town is pretty much all closed on a Sunday so hanging out somewhere else was not a option.
Rooms: Room were clean.

Nice, clean newly built hotel. The staff was helpful. Pizza was good. The noise level at night with semi trucks coming from outside of town and running a jake brake as they pass the hotel as they enter town was a bit obnoxious but not a deal breaker. Would stay here again.
Rooms: The rooms are clean and tidy. The beds are a bit stiff but not terrible.
Nearby activities: There isn’t a whole lot in this town/area to do.
Food & drinks: They have a kitchen on site. Wings and pizza are good.
