Sunshine Foods is a family owned business and a remarkable market in Rock Rapids, serving as the only grocery store in town for many. It is simply a wonderful place to shop. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly, described as family kind of friendly. They try their hardest to accommodate customers, including those with food restrictions. The store has expanded its Latino section, which is totally remarkable, offering the finest quality tortillas and many products catering to that demographic. It also has a remarkable produce section and spice section. The store is great to go to when something is needed. Kids get a free piece of fruit when they go. There are a lot of great deals, and using the Sunshine Foods app saves money. However, some things are crazy expensive and many things cost more than some customers want to pay, with prices going up every time just like they are everywhere. A specific product, the ground chuck, is very important; one customer stated the store was not worth it without it, but were over-joyed to find it had returned. They will shop there as long as it is stocked. A point of frustration is that employees are not always kept informed about such product changes. A funny situation noted is that items may not be in the same place from week to week as they move things around, but this is not an inconvenience. The store is also appreciated for fulfilling big orders and offering delivery in town.
