Not a bridezilla just an honest review.
Buyer beware:
This review is for the catering department. I can go on and on about how awful of an experience they were to work with and the food. They completly ruined the dinner portion of my wedding. Back story I had Hy-Vee cater am event before. Several years ago but I had that to compare. The lady in charge was a complete nightmare to get a hold of in the beginning and then the way she treated my guests and her server was horrid. I paid for the two meat buffet $16.50. We had about a 100 guests show but paid for 120. That includes two meats for each guest, 3 sides and a dessert. The potatoes were still crunchy, the chicken was horribly dry and barely etable.. I only took one bite. The beef was seasoned well but also very over cooked and this ran out of it before 3/4 of the guests got through but a whole pan of chicken left ...no they did not get two slices of beef. My poor farher inlaw who paid didnt even get a slice. She blamed it on guests getting seconds to her manager. Which was a lie. I personally knew every single guest who was there and talked to all of them. They my closest family & friends. Getting a plate for a young child at a table is not seconds. We paid for the children. The same lady in charge as terrible to my guests snatching a plate out of my cousins daughters 4 year old hand and told her that if her daughter chose the cheesecake she could not have the fruit and my cousin couldn't have a dessert. We paid for the adults and children. She gave skimpy servings of the sidss. She was rude to her server who was a really nice guy.Then she accused my family of possibly taking 160 plates. When they left they just left the chicken out so we couldn't even use it as left overs. What a waste. I have talked back and forth with the manager and they comped the serving cost... really I do not think this is enough for all and more that we had to deal with. I would never ever recommend this particular Hy-Vee for any event.

Customer service was amazing it was how it should to be and more.

Didn’t feel that any of them got bothered helping more than one time
Everyone is attentive
Found all what I need except one brand of milk didn’t find the whole milk from it
Everything is fresh
Store is clean

Our Hy-Vee is great. A wide variety of goods, fresh produce, decent meat, and in-store pharmacy. The staff is kind and knowledgeable. If you have a product they no longer carry they may be able to get it again or a special item. They did for me with a Habanero Cheddar cheese a few years back.

The night manager in Hy-Vee in red oak is always the nicest lady. She is always so patient with any issues that come up.
