1601 S Union St, Des Moines“The smell hits you when you walk in the door, oh my God if I lived closer I would never leave so good. I didn't know where to start everything looked so good. It's all delicious”
“This is a gem. Old School neighborhood market. With an outstanding selection of eat in or takeout options. Burgers , Deli sandwiches, all the sides you can imagine. The foods always good. I get my steaks fresh cut from here. Also my tailgate burrito ingredients during football season. Deli sandwich rings for house parties.Family owned and local support. This is what is all about.”
“There's something special about Fareway, as the combination of their phenomenal customer service, great butcher shop, and atmosphere pulls them above and beyond its competition.
This Ankeny store is no exception. It rocks, great staff throughout. A terrific young man named Ollie helped us once, another superb young man knew the store so well twice for product (wish I remembered his name), and Byron in the butcher shop gave us a pair of amazing suggestions that were elite recommendations, including his own recipe that was so delicious.”
“I used to do a lot of my shopping here up until 2019, when I moved out of state. I’ve just moved back and I think it may have gotten a bit of a facelift since I was last in, because it looks a lot nicer than I remember! Maybe I’m just remembering it being smaller, somehow.Parking lot is still chaotic, as is navigating the store (it’s always busy and the aisles are small), and some product availability has shifted. There are noticeably fewer japanese staples (no mirin?) outside of the frozen aisle/rice. It’s still a hefty selection, compared to anywhere else in the state.Snacks and drinks are always at a markup, which makes sense. On the other hand, the produce section is varied, as fresh as possible, and CHEAP. Far cheaper than what you will find in any of the chained grocery stores in town. I used to go here for all of my mushrooms and root vegetables, and I’m so glad to see that this hasn’t changed. Their leafy greens have always looked good, and that hasn’t changed either. The prices of their dried goods is great, and the variety of soup bases and stocks is almost dizzying. They’re also the only place in town that I know of that sells frozen char siu bao, which is an immediate 5/5 on principle.I still haven’t tried the pho at the attached restaurant, but will one day! Thanks again C-Fresh, it’s nice to see you again!”
“This is my go-to grocery store for meat. It's a medium sized grocery store and doesn't have quite the variety that some of these new or larger ones have but it's convenient and usually very quick to get through.”

205 E 18th St, Des Moines“Here fairly often. Never been held up longer than 2 hours and that's only because they're unloading another truck. Super friendly. Usually in and out here.”

6615 NE 14th St, Des Moines“Holy Pigs in Blanket. I'll never buy pork anywhere else! I bought a ham for Easter, my family ate the whole thing! While there I picked up some brats..... next level guys, next level. A+”
8AM - 9:30PM
3805 6th Ave, Des Moines“I can't speak to the grocery store itself, but the haunted house in the basement is fantastic! Hasn't changed much over the years, but it is hard to improve on perfection. Narrow hallways and crawl spaces. Near complete darkness with helpful, dim lights here and there. Jump scares tastefully done!”
“Over 3 yrs of a relationship built with PDI. Agents have only turned over once and both fellas were outstanding to help support our business needs. Fair pricing, dependable, on time and great with consistent communication. I highly recommend PDI for Logistic needs. Thank you Zach and PDI!”
“This warehouse has a lot of bad reviews. We had a driver this morning full dry load with a 7am appt, empty with bills back at 9:20 am. Maybe this location has cleaned up it's act!”
“I shop at Fairway in Pleasant Hill every single Monday. All of the workers are very friendly, happy and social. I love this store! Thank you everyone for your service and hospitality!”
