Gilcrest in Pella Iowa was the worst place to buy anything for a new home. We always try to shop local but Lamberts/Gilcrest is not a place we will every spend money again. We purchased 35,000 kitchen cabins that were different colors and they wanted us to stain them to fix their problem. We purchased a gas fireplace that still does not work. We purchased all of the siding and stone for home. When we returned what we did not need they told us that we could not return it. This siding was suppose to be returned to us with another delivery by their truck which never happened. So we went to pick up the siding and they said it had been thrown away. This was Top of line siding. So who ever got the siding your welcome. We spent over $150,000 with Gilcrest in Pella and today Joe calls today to tell me he closed our account and is done doing business with us. So please DO not buy anything at Gilcrest Pella, this is typical big business that does not care how they treat customers.

You'll find prices are much higher and service leaves something to be desired. Save yourself time and money and look elsewhere.

These guys are REALLY great to work with. I go there whenever I need any lumber or special materials. They have a great selection of just about whatever you would need! They also have a very nice and helpful staff that is there to help you no matter how large or how small the sale is. I highly recommend them - Ask for Bob or Doug!
