They mowed my property without my permission and destroyed half of my butterfly garden. The owner was not even apologetic and claimed his employees didn't know where the proprty line was. The property line is marked with multiple 6 foot poles painted florescent orange, which they mowed around.

JD lawn care and four seasons are NOT same company. I had worked with 4 seasons for several yrs and never had any complaints.

These are the incompetents who mowed my butterfly garden because they claimed they didn't know where the property line was. The property line is marked with multiple six foot posts painted flourescent orange.

Let me set the scenario for you: two snow storms back to back (totaling about 12" of snow on flat ground, with 24" drifts), single car driveway about 100' long, and renter from Mississippi. Renter, who's never seen more than a dusting of snow in his life, let alone ran a snow blower, called a seemingly reputable local company to remove snow the day after the last storm while he was at work. Upon returning to the domicile at around 6pm that evening, said renter notices that about half the width of the driveway was cleaned, and the entrance still had 2' snow drifts in it. Renter calls the owner of the snow removal business. Owner of the snow removal business says his men do good work (owner must also be a part time comedian?), and that the renter should have just done it himself if he wasn't happy. Then after the renter tells the owner of the business that either someone is going to come fix it, or he will only pay a portion of the bill because he received a portion of the job, the owner of the company becomes irate, like an 18 month old child that dropped his binky on the ground. Now the owner is yelling and screaming about "I'll just come fix it myself, then I'm going to bring a dumptruck full of snow and dump it in your driveway!!!" and "If you think I charge too much, I'll call the bank and say you're not paying for my services and have a lean put against your house!!!" also "If you think this is such a joke (renter was laughing at this point), I'm going make your life hell, where you can't even leave your driveway to go to work!!!". This, ladies and gentlemen is from the owner of JD Lawn Care (also known as Four Season Lawn Care) of Pella, IA. It truly is amazing a person of his character has continued to sustain a business, just because he was born in the area. From the other people I've talked to after this encounter, this definitely isn't the first time he's done sub-par work, and acted out like an infant not getting their way. The rate of $100 to halfway clear a driveway is absolutely outrageous. Hopefully this review finds its way to other who are seeking services in the Pella/Oskaloosa area.
