Don’t take your car here for an oil change.3 years ago I took my Subaru with 15,000 miles on the car to have them change the oil.(previous 3 was done at the dealership) when I hear him beating with a hammer, I knew something was wrong. Never went back. Unfortunately my wife took her jeep there 3000 miles ago, today went to change the oil and they stripped that oil plug and lost the panel the covers the oil filter. Never Again.

I pulled in at 430 pm. There was a car in the bay that had about 5 minutes left (per their staff)and the guys working on that car told me they were not taking anymore. I said well it’s only 430…don’t you close at 5. They said yea but we start cleaning up at 430. So I called and talked to the guy that answered the phone and he told me they stop taking cars at 445. I was like well the guys in the bay said they are taking anymore…and it’s only 430. Manager was not on duty (per their staff) I wonder if she is aware they do this.

So - a bit of a long story. Got the oil changed on Friday, and returned home. Saturday we headed out of town and stopped for gas in Mt. Pleasant. I noticed there was something hanging underneath the vehicle, and after a further look by a mechanic at Walmart we determined the guy who changed the oil forgot to replace the skid plate over the oil pan/engine area. The part hanging down was the skid plate over the transmission.I called the north side Prolube and the woman answered said they were about to close, but she would check on it and call me back on Monday. Uh, no - not acceptable. After some considerable convincing she finally went to look and found my skid plate in their pit. I was able to talk her in to taking it to their southside location (they're open until 2:00) and then we drove back to Ottumwa. The pro lube gang at the southside store reattached the skid plate. After it was repaired I was told "there you go - you're ready". No words of regret, no "I'm sorry" - no nothing. When I suggested that since I had to drive all the way back to Ottumwa and now had to head back out again toward Mr. Pleasant that maybe they owe me something for my trouble (After all - they charge an extra $5 on your oil change if you have a skid plate) they offered me $5 (I had to pay $5 at Walmart for them to look at it), and then they offer $10, and finally they offer $20. But still no "I'm sorry for your trouble". The owner, John, is a very good guy always enjoy visiting with him. I cant imagine this is the sort of customer service he preaches or hopes for. Color me disappointed.Service: Oil change

30minutes later I'm still waiting for service at the NORTH prolube.Greeted at the door and was told, will be with you in a minute. Taking 2 guys to change oil on 1 car.Reserved a uhaul .. never again

Went to the South side one in Ottumwa this afternoon for a car wash and the chick that works at pro lube was rude telling me that if I didn’t like what she had to say, she said go on down the road to the other car wash. This was because some lady in front of me still had soap on her car and the ProLube chick thought I should give up my place in line because the lady was a paying customer. I told her that I paid over $200.00 a month ago for an oil change so what was I. This is when she said, well if you don’t like it, go on down the road.Service: Oil change

I will definitely be buying my future cars from here again. I bought a car a month ago and less than a week in I noticed that my brakes weren’t stopping properly and I was super terrified to rear end someone. We called them and explained that I just bought it and they told me to bring it in they would look into it and fix the problem for me and they did! Thank you so much for great customer service and helping me find the perfect car at a great price. Being a single mother money is tight and this car is absolutely everything I ever wanted. Thank you once again ?
