Literally one of the worst post offices for customer service as well as delivery! If I could give no stars I would!!! I think toddlers could grasp basic comprehension of mail delivery over this staff!!! They can’t understand simple, basic delivery instructions & directions!! On several occasions, the delivery driver has left a package with whomever at the vicinity of the address listed, while ignoring specific package delivery instructions while casing the mail. Then when you call the post office to remind them of this for the umpteenth time, the postmaster will blame it on others. TRAIN YOUR STAFF TO FOLLOW DIRECTIONS!! It’s not that hard!!
And as of date, the delivery driver has taken an already delivered package from the delivered address to another unknown destination. Again when you call, finger pointing.
But then again, I’d expect nothing less from something government related! ?
The pony express was more reliable back when they actually used horses!

There isn't even a star that these people deserve. My sister ordered a package for my daughter. She put our correct address on it. We even verified it through all sources. When we went to pick it up from the post office not only was the lady exceptionally rude but our original address was crossed out in ink pen and a completely different address was written on it. Then she tried to blame us. That's tampering with a package. I don't care if this business is government ran or not. You don't do that to people. This place is a joke.

The last 10 orders I have placed and were supposed to be delivered by USPS, it always notifies me “delivered attempted by USPS and is awaiting picking up carrier location” but when you go in they packages are not there and I have been every time and can confirm no one tried to deliver it at my door. I ordered these months ago. One time while they were doing delivers to neighbors they were driving on their sidewalk and asked me where they lived and couldn’t find their address recently as well. Horrible experience with this post office !

Some of the desk clerks lack customer service skills. Nice to their friends and if they don’t recognize you, scowl rather than smile. They would not even offer a piece of tape to mail a package to hold down a piece of paper, and pointed to a $4 roll on the counter.The male employee, has been there for years, is the worst. Always appears to hate his job.They always look miserable, and hate when you ask for something extra like stamps.

I sell online as well as traveling full time so deal with dozens of post offices all over the U.S. each year. Oskaloosa's post office is one of the best. Love their drop and go station for pre-paids and that packages are all scanned within an hour of being dropped off which is very important for seller metrics. In the few times I've needed a real person, they are efficient and friendly enough. Lines are low and fast. And it's nice to step into a nicely air conditioned post office as compared to most p.o.'s that are cheap on the a/c. I can't attest to the local delivery, but your p.o. location is spot on.

Horrible delivery service!!!! They mark items as delivered but they never are or they show up days later!!!! No one ever answers the phone there!!!! So sick of this!!! I’m again without a package that was supposedly delivered today but never was!!!!

Rarely have I ever encountered a problem at this P.O. .. the staff is friendly and helpful, though I have encountered a few customers who were rude and very impatient with our postal employees!

The post master is so rude, wants to blame everything on DesMoines. Our tax return has been sent back to the IRS twice and it is addressed correct. . The notice of the return always gets there .

First of all the actual post of which this listing is for is great. I never have a problem with customer service when I go in. They have never lost any of my items if the send properly addresses them in the first place. Now for the delivery to my home I just call and talk to the post master and they get it taken care of. I never have problems with my regular postal delivery guy, I do have occasional issues with subs, but the postmaster always addresses any concerns.
