“I was northbound on I-35 when the Creston tornado warnings popped up heading towards the interstate so I immediately got off at the next exit, Osceola, to wait it out. Just as I got off, the Mt Ayr warning popped up. I pulled into the Quality Inn lot and the front desk clerk Alejandra was at the front door taking a quick look at the skies. She held the door open for me. I told her I wasn't a guest there, but asked if I could wait out the storm in the lobby and she cheerfully welcomed me in. She kept the TV on in the lobby with storm updates and calmly instructed guests where the safest places to go would be. As the tornado passed, just less than a mile to the south of us, I went into the windowless restroom off the lobby. It was impeccably clean - and spacious, which was nice as several of us stepped in there! Alejandra was calm, cheerful, friendly and helpful throughout. She kept track of the situation over the TV and her phone when the TV signal was lost intermittently. I can't thank her enough!!”

“There are mixed reviews on here, but my personal experience was very nice. Friendly staff. Was given veterans discount as well as CDL discount off of Buffet and hotel. I visited on a Saturday afternoon and buffet price was $26 before discount. The food was actually very good. They had pork, chicken, fish, and steak as well as a hibachi grill. I didn't stay at their hotel. The casino side gave me $15 free play and I won $100 on my second spin.
Free gift was 2 decks of playing cards.”
“You couldn’t possibly find a better travel hotel. Clean, spacious rooms. Quiet location. Good breakfast. And the nicest manager. Craig was extremely helpful, showing us available rooms and helping find local options. We stayed at several more expensive hotels during a long winter trip, but none of them were better than this. Thanks, Craig!”
