Very disappointing experience for our large building project, always broken promises about when contractors were coming, much longer time frame by several months to complete our building project than promised, some contractors hired by Hiway lumber provided shoddy workmanship that was never corrected, causing us to have to find different contractors to correct the problems which cost us additional money. Building site was always a mess and almost no time on the job site by Ryan for any over site of project. Terrible communication overall. I’m giving it 2 stars instead of 1 because most of the products we purchased were of good quality- just poorly installed. When trying to communicate with Ryan, instead of apologizing for mistakes and offering solutions, he would become defensive and rude. Would not recommend this company to coordinate more than a simple project. They won’t stand behind their work and don’t seem to care about the quality of the end product or satisfaction of their customer. After several months of trying to work with this company, we finally gave up and finished it with contractors we found ourselves.

Built a pole barn in Urbandale and Ryan was great to work with. I was looking for maximum clearance and door sizes which he nailed. Local company with much better service than the box stores.

Terrible service, communication, and overall way to run a business. Ryan and team do not care at all if they have our business. They continually make promises and do not communicate when they miss dates (every single time). They deny promising dates even though I have it in email. I highly suggest you find someone else (anyone else) to work with. They have wasted months of our time.
