Tatia was so fun to work with! She did my bridesmaids hair for my wedding and everyone’s hair looked so good. She listened to each person on how they wanted to style their hair. Tatia provided mimosas while getting ready for my big day and let my makeup artist use a chair in her salon. The atmosphere was very relaxing,stress free,and a great place to hang out the morning of my wedding. I highly recommend any bride in the Okoboji area looking for a hairstylist to go to Salon of Okoboji and give Tatia a call!

Tatia fit me in on a Friday at noon so I could get cleaned up for a family get together. She did a great job. I definitely recommend for anyone in the lakes area.

I went in before my wedding with the specifications that I wanted to lighten my color and touch up all my roots. She colored my hair while stating how "extra" the previous color was. During the process she stated "I'm just in a 'I don't care anymore' mood." Not something you want to hear while having your hair colored. She also said that she was just going to do it the lazy way and skip some sections in the back. After over two hours, we washed and I looked to see the exact color I had come in with and no root coverage. She started recoloring to lighten it and I asked if we were getting the roots covered this time, to which she said "yes." We washed my hair and then waxed my eyebrows (good wax service!) She took off an inch of hair and gave me a few long layers (nice cut skills). However, after being in a salon chair for over 4 hours (9am appointment, left after 1pm) I was not staying any longer even through she DID NOT FIX MY ROOTS. I still had a good 1.5 cm (half an inch) of clear roots. Four hours, an extra $35 from what she quoted me on the phone, a complaining cosmologist, and not fixing what I went in for. An absolute waste of money and time before my wedding. I do not recommend getting your color done here. Eyebrow wax was a good service (even if she hates doing it). Hair cut was symmetrical and quick. Color was a waste of money to barely change lightness and to not have my roots covered. Never have I been more dissatisfied with a service.

I've been going here for almost two decades, the atmosphere is welcoming, and the staff feels like family, haircuts, colors, and so on. This place is lovely for long and short visits.

"Walk-Ins Welcome" displayed on the window. Except for certain times of the week where walk-ins are not welcome like a Saturday morning in September. Maybe you want to put that on your window.
