I’m not local but I did stop by while passing through. This shop may not have a lot but what they do have is the basics. They have very cool toys and products. Definitely worth stopping by. The staff are so welcoming and polite.

Julie & Laurie are two of the best local business owners ever. They recently pounded through snowmageddon snowdrifts delivering dog & cat food to me while I was housebound, which I will never forget. They are stocked with thoughtfully chosen products priced reasonably. The great staff are friendly and professional, and they listen (even when I sometimes talk at length about my furry companions). You should shop here.

As a resident of North Liberty and a supporter of local businesses, I recently visited Leash on Life for some pet supplies. First and foremost, I want to highlight the positive aspects of this store. Nestled in a convenient location just off Highway 1, Leash on Life offers a unique selection of high-quality pet products that you won't easily find in larger chain stores. The range of American-made items they stock is commendable, and it's clear they have a keen focus on safety and affordability.The staff's reputation for friendliness and knowledge about pet care is well-deserved. During my visit, I noticed how they treat both pets and owners with genuine care and attention, creating a welcoming atmosphere for all.However, I did encounter a minor hiccup during my visit. In a bit of a rush that day, I found the checkout process slower than anticipated. There seemed to be a shortage of staff available to assist with the checkout, causing a slight delay. While this was a bit frustrating, I understand that such situations can happen, especially in smaller, local businesses.In summary, Leash on Life is a gem in North Liberty, offering quality products and a pet-friendly environment. I appreciate their commitment to quality and the community. I believe that supporting local businesses like Leash on Life is essential, and I hope they can streamline their checkout process in the future to enhance the shopping experience further. I look forward to my next visit and continue to support this local business.

I have been gping to Leash on Life ever since they opened and recommend this store to everyone I meet that has a dog or cat. I view Leash on Life as a professional pet store because all the employees have a vast knowledge of what you may be shopping for. They are absolutely amazing ~~ if you are looking for a new collar or harness ~~ they take time to make sure your pet has the proper size ~~ just bring your dog, cat, rabbit in and they will take whatever time it takes to fit your pet. Also, they know their pet food and pet treats products ~~ I always feel welcome!! Never disappointed in the friendly environment; my dogs are also welcome with a treat ~~ this is definitely the place to go ~~ so much better than the "big box" stores. Thank you to the owners and employee who work at Leash on Life.

I love Leash on Life. My first visit ever happened today, as I was in the area and needed to refill our dog treats. As I walked up to the front door I noticed that weekly/monthly specials were posted. After walking in I was immediately greeted by a very friendly and knowledgeable employee who helped me find exactly what I was looking for -- I said rawhides when what I really meant was Bully Sticks. :) I spent around $45 on a nice assortment of dog treats (they have a very large variety including a multitude of small training type treats), a bully stick ring, and Tibetan dog chew. Who knew?! I believe the front half of the store is dedicated to dog items, middle of the store for cats, and then at the very back of the store in kind of a separate room is the food. Had I not just bought my dog's food, I would have looked to see if they carry his brand. I did notice they they carry a large selection of FROMM foods, which I've always been a fan of. They had a cute table of gourmet dog treats that you could use to create your own mixed assortment. Might try this next time. If you need a funny greeting card, look no further. They carry the Avanti brand, which is my all-time favorite. They offer some harder to find subject matters like pet-loss, pet-sitting, etc. Prices are more than fair. Everything I bought could be found online, but at more expensive prices. Excellent customer service. Conveniently located in a strip mall with UPS and my favorite Chinese restaurant in IC. Plenty of parking.

We love Leash on Life!! They have a bigger selection of cat products than many other places. Tons of options for toys, cat furniture, grooming tools, treats, and food. Employees are always very friendly!

North Liberty is very lucky to have a quality, community-driven pet store like Leash on Life. They have Fromm food and an amazing staff that you'd never get from a big chain / online store. Highly recommend!

Staff is extremely nice and helpful. They have a somewhat limited selection of things, but the staff said they can place orders if there's something specific you're looking for but they don't have it.

Leash on Life is THE go-to place for anything you need for your animals. Prices may be a bit higher than other pet stilted, but everything they sell is quality! We adopted a puppy yesterday and went straight to the NL store. Julie walked us through all the essentials as first-time dog owners. Our dog was very disinterested in the food he came with, but he LOVES the food Julie recommended. We will always make a point to stop in and get all the dog essentials when we are in the IC area.
