I have worked as a foster with Rachel as the coordinator. Her love of the animals is unmatched.

I am so proud to be considered a part of this wonderful rescue. My hubby & I have been fostering cats & dogs for PNC for over 2 years now. Rachel Long is the administrator, and works tirelessly to save sick/injured animals & the animals on euthanasia lists around the country. If anyone is looking to add a pet to their family, please go to the PNC website!

Paws-N-Claws is an amazing rescue organization who works hard to help pets in need. It appears that most of the folks who gave low scores to this group, did so because their applications were never received. Whenever you submit an online form to any organization, it is good to realize that sometimes computer glitches happen and sometimes it is user error. If you don't hear back in a timely fashion, follow up! Don't just hop online and submit a bad review.

I absolutely love and appreciate Paws-n-Claws. I have adopted 2 rescues and have fostered the last couple of years. These rescuers have full lives and jobs and work and breathe rescue. All animals are rescued...they say YES to all furry friends in need despite the condition they are in, despite the cost for emergency treatments and specialty medical cases, despite the cost of van rentals and gas and time to travel to pick up animals surrendered, on top of all vetting, assessments, proper care, spaying, neutering and getting everyone vaccinated. Again they say yes as much as they can. They feed these furry friends, they provide collars and leashes, amoung other everyday day needs such as toys, chew items for the chewers, puppy pads for the babies, diapers for the medically needed, crates/kennels while they are undergoing treatment and waiting for foster families. I cannot imagine the extraordinary effort they put in for rescue and fundraising and I know every single penny is utilized because I can assure the adoption costs don't even begin to cover all costs. Please consider supporting, adopting or fostering with Paws-n-Claws. Give what my babies were given a second chance and they are safe, healthy and happy!

We have two amazing corgis thanks to Paws-N-Claws! They are happy healthy pups and we would have never met with without the hard work Rachel puts in every day.Rachel does a fantastic job helping as many pets as humanly possible find homes which is SO hard to do with a tiny staff and foster network. For those that have anything negative to say about response rate maybe you could volunteer in your spare time?

I’m a Kansas City resident and foster for Paws-n-Claws ANYTIME I have availability. Not only do they let me do in home checks to ensure my foster babies are going to the most amazing homes, they’ve always helped me when I needed a bag of food for the growing puppies. They pull dogs from my “local shelters” who will be put to sleep if not for them. I love them and I can’t speak highly enough about their team!!

We adopted our dog from Paws N Claws and had an excellent experience with the whole process. Fast response to the application, easy to work with on the phone interview, they were able to send over what medical info they had on him as well which was great to forward on to our vet when needed. I still send photos to the volunteer we worked with occasionally. 11/10

If I could give NO stars I would. I think there may be at least one right-minded person who is affiliated with this org. Sadly I cannot say the same about their principal person. AVOID this 'rescue' group

They won't ever contact you after filing out an application! Which was done over 5 months ago!! Beware and cautious!! Yes we have called, emailed many times but no response!! We told them at Maytag Park in person! I'll call you tomorrow which was bull!!

If I could rate zero stars I would. They are completely unprofessional about responding. They say they are going to do something and don’t. We were told on a Thursday afternoon the final paperwork would be sent the following morning. After 4 days there has still been zero communication. The interview process is extensive and long which I’m fine with. But then a commitment was made and there is no follow through. They are keeping dogs away from willing and excited pet owners. Truly sad.

It feels more like an interrogation. trying to rescue a 2nd dog . It's sad these animals are being held back by the over the top questions . Not a friendly environment I understand it is voluntary work yet I believe the are over stepping boundaries .

Great group of volunteers working for animal's best interests. Love the foster home setting so they have good info on the animal's habits and can match them well.
